Don't know how this works but it does. I got the XL for my 4 who like to lay close to each other. Put it outside today and got 2 doggie takers to relax and "chill" They "fluffed" it up and immediately laid down for a good amount of napping time. When I picked it up to bring it inside, the fabric was cool to the touch 🤯. The high temp today was 88 with high humidity. ... show more

It’s pretty thin and cheap but my dog does seem to like it. I actually have been putting it outside for her to lay on so protect her elbows from the concrete tile she likes to lay on. It is cool to the touch, but it certainly won’t cool your dog down a ton. But she likes it.

I love how easy to clean the mat it was. I also appreciated that my baby loved it from the get go. It is a little on the thin side and I had hoped for a bit more cushion and for it to be a bit bigger. Aside from that it was right for the piece. My mistake was using the mat for a puppy that was still crate training. Our pup had an accident and I could never wash the smell out after that no matter what I used to wash it. So that led to our puppy thinking that was a recyclable puppy pad. Booooo! ... show more

This mat construction does a great job of holding water for a cool spot for the pups to chill out. I gave it four stars because I am concerned about how long the outer fabric will withstand any damage/snags from toenails over time. The mesh layer on the bottom makes for intriguing chewing for little pup teeth, but I think we can train them to leave that alone. I'd recommend giving this a try if you live in a hot spot. Both of our small/medium pups can fit on one mat, more or less. ... show more
