My 13 year old Dachshund/beagle (Doxle) has respiratory issues and heat makes it worse. We live in Florida. He has been seeking colder places to sleep. He kept going on the tile floor but then going back to his bed cause he wants to be comfy, but couldn't stay there long because it was too hot. Going back and forth all day. He has not gotten off of this blanket since we got it earlier today!! HE LOVES IT!! He's even been doing the "snuggle dance" on it. Also, he has always slept in the bed with us but lately sometimes he can't cause too hot. I try to keep a box fan on him cause I want to sleep with my baby. I just put this blanket on the bed and he is SOOOO HAPPY and I can tell how relived he is😭♥️ I can sleep with my baby!!! My dog loved this immediately, being it is summer & very hot days lately. He has seizures & we needed something to cool him off immediately. This worked great. Don't know how this works but it does. I got the XL for my 4 who like to lay close to each other. Put it outside today and got 2 doggie takers to relax and "chill" They "fluffed" it up and immediately laid down for a good amount of napping time. When I picked it up to bring it inside, the fabric was cool to the touch 🤯. The high temp today was 88 with high humidity. ... show more

I love how easy to clean the mat it was. I also appreciated that my baby loved it from the get go. It is a little on the thin side and I had hoped for a bit more cushion and for it to be a bit bigger. Aside from that it was right for the piece. My mistake was using the mat for a puppy that was still crate training. Our pup had an accident and I could never wash the smell out after that no matter what I used to wash it. So that led to our puppy thinking that was a recyclable puppy pad. Booooo! ... show more

This mat construction does a great job of holding water for a cool spot for the pups to chill out. I gave it four stars because I am concerned about how long the outer fabric will withstand any damage/snags from toenails over time. The mesh layer on the bottom makes for intriguing chewing for little pup teeth, but I think we can train them to leave that alone. I'd recommend giving this a try if you live in a hot spot. This cooling mat worked the way it was advertised to. No, it wasn't a dramatic difference on super hot days, but there was a noticeable difference. I wish it would have been a little thicker and more comfy for older puppers like mine, but I won't take any stars away for something that was an oversight on my part. Sadly, I mowed over it by accident and it is in hundreds of pieces, never to be used again. 😑 ... show more
