  • Worth the price. Good Documentation and High Quality
Color: Intel 12th I7-12700K + Prime Z690-A D5
The media could not be loaded. To be honest the first board and processor bundle I purchased was defective. I called ASUS and they were extremally helpful and knowledgeable on the phone and we quickly determined I had a defective board. But really that happens. Amazon had it picked up and refunded my money. I then re-ordered the exact same thing and it arrived the next day. It takes a while to build the machine and it is best to remove the fans and everything that could get in your way. Then install the processor, SSD Drive and Memory, and the mounting for your processor cooling tower. The hardest part is figuring out all the cable connections to the headers on the board. But take your time and double check and you will be fine. I am very impressed with the speed. This is not a gaming machine for me but a graphics machine for Photoshop. The on-board video worked well and I am driving both my main monitor and my visual XP-PEN 22e Pro Graphics Tablet. I installed Windows 11 Home Edition that I purchased on USB Key. I inserted the key and the booted the machine and it recognized it and installed with no issues. I had also installed a WIFI and blue-tooth card so it connected without issues to my router. All and all the build went well even with the initial hiccup. I would highly recommend the bundle. ... show more

  • Wow
Color: Intel 13th I9-13900K + ROG STRIX Z790-E ...
Board is very well made and HEAVY. good quality heatsinks Asus's software is pretty cool, makes checking and updating drivers a breeze. Didn't think I cared much for the rgb, but programing options with usefull presets make it a sweet feature. So far been pretty happy with the i9, not so much with windows 11. You won't see the true power of this chip until you start multitasking. I had cpu-z stress testing and clicked over to another window without thinking.... absolutely no hesitation. Games are running great besides long loading screens in some which seems to be a common windows 11 issue. X4 has always lagged, jumped, or went to a loading screen when gating to other systems. But no more, smooth seamless transition from one sector to the next. Wishing I had went with a better video card because this set has horsepower to spare. Definitely worth the money ... show more

  • Way too slow to boot.
Color: Intel 12th I9-12900K + Prime Z790-V WiFi...
I replaced a Gigabyte board with this Asus, and the boot time has gone up by 6 seconds. Not happy with that. Also, if you have Intel Management on, it won't detect any hard drives.

  • Stellar bundle
Color: Intel 12th I7-12700K + PRIME Z690-P WIFI...
Be sure you get good, reputable ram or else you’ll be pulling your hair out on what’s causing your system instabilities. Nothing was wrong with this bundle. Motherboard is absolutely packed full of features I would’ve dreamed of, and the processor is super fast for being only 200 dollars. Motherboard can support up to 14th gen as if this review time, so upgradability in the long run is pretty great. I would always get the overclocking specific motherboards not because I overclock but because they usually have way more features, supreme VRMs (More stability), and potentially more support for future generations of processors. You can’t get that with base model chipsets. ... show more

  • This mother board has major issues. Do not BUY
Color: Intel 12th I9-12900K + Prime Z790-V WiFi...
Worse than I thought. Motherboard has SERIOUS design flaw. There is an inductor that precludes proper installation of m.2 in position nearest processor. All they had to do was turn the inductor 90 deg but NO. Rather they say use as m.2 standoff. They says it's in the manual and standoff is in the box. Not in what I got. So the m.2 is canted into the connector. This could cause a poor connection and possibly intermitant faults that would be near impossible to diagnose They offered an RMA but then said replacement motherboard would be identical. YGBSM I have not had time to power up this mb yet and am past the return date. NOTHING fits properly and RAMM is an issue. 1. Amazon sent ram. 4 sticks 32gb of different types. Many emails to coursair. They finally said ram was incompatible. So return and order two stlcks with 64gb. 2. Trying to install m.2 nvme there is a diode on mb that blocks m.2 nvme. YGBKM. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. IF I shim up the m.2 will it still make good contact 3. MANY hours trying to install cousair liquid cooler. Holes do not align. Modified cooler to get it in. All this, hours of work, new memory, still not able to even power it up. Guess I will shim up the m.2 to clear the diode and HOPE it works. YGBKM. I do not recommend this mb. It stinks ... show more

  • Amazing Combo
Color: Intel 12th I7-12700K + Prime Z690-A D5
This is a pretty fantastic motherboard and CPU. If you're on a bit of a budget, but also want reliably good parts, this is definitely the way to go. Easy to install and has pretty great speeds, although the motherboard doesn't have very many USB ports, it does have a lot of M.2 slots with heatsinks and thermal pads which is a big bonus if you like lots of storage space. ... show more

  • Pretty nice Board - Update your BIOS
Color: Intel 12th I7-12700K + Prime Z690-A D5
This is obviously not a long-term review but so far the board has performed as expected. CPU running great also. I mainly wanted to write this to inform builders, especially new ones, about the board's bios. Mine came with an older version 2103, which was not working with the Corsair Vengeance RAM I bought, I kept getting stuck in the orange RAM light on the board. So you need to update the bios to the latest version. I installed a stick of Crucial RAM 8GB DDR5 4800MT/s CT8G48C40U5, got into the BIOS, updated it, and then was able to run the faster Corsair RAM. Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone was having this issue. ... show more
