Description

FUSION UV.LED MONOMER is an option for people who want to avoid the traditional monomer smell. Excellent for places with low ventilation. This monomer needs to be cured under a LED or UV lamp. Sealed with LEAK-PROOF PHENOLIC CAPS These modern leak-proof caps eliminate the need of the classic paper/plastic seals that can detach from the bottle neck due to the monomer chemical composition. Phenolic Caps made of industrial-grade highly rigid plastic, molds itself around the sealing areas as the cap is screwed on, virtually eliminating leakage, evaporation, contamination, and forming an exceptionally tight seal. The conical shape of these caps provides an excellent seal across the top of the container and seals across the inside diameter.

  • Learning curve but no bad smells and works great!
I love this monomer! I really only use it for practice and working in the house. No smell, no headache, no problems. For those who say it’s not ordorless, or it’s hard to work with etc. You must not know a lot about monomer or acrylic in general which is fine, because there is a learning curve to everything. This monomer is ODORLESS. If you know how regular monomer smells, this smells like air lol. Since it doesn’t have the chemical makeup of regular monomer and is more oil based, it is very slow setting and uses the uv/led light to cure. If you have used the clear odorless monomer before (it’s mostly for school and state board) this is not like that as it doesn’t yellow (it’s purple) and it’s easier to work with. If you are doing let’s say a design or ombré you can put one color down then pop it in the lamp for a few seconds to flash cure it then go in with your next color, where as regular odorless monomer you’d have to do all ten fingers with the first color and then it still would be wet. A trick to get it to set up faster is putting acetone in your monomer dish. it helps speed up setting to make it more workable like regular monomer but still needs the uv/led light to fully set. I put a gooood amount of acetone in my dish because i’m only practicing, and i have had no lifting issues or breaking/brittleness but then again I don’t use it on clients and only used a couple times on myself. I would just experiment with that trick if you need to and see what works best for you, if it’s still runny add more acetone and if it sets up too fast add more of this monomer. I definitely recommend especially if you are just learning and just want to practice with it or can’t have the smell inside your home, etc. I really prefer to work with regular monomer but since I can’t inside my house, I pour regular monomer into my dish and then I pour this odoerless monomer in with it and mix the two. I add a little acetone and bam I can practice in my room with out feeling like i’m sacrificing and not using real acrylic. So if anyone is in the same boat as me and likes regular acrylic monomer to work with but they can’t inside, get some of this and mix the two until the harsh monomer smell is gone. Depending on how much of this odorless monomer I use, with this technique I don’t even have to put in the lamp for it to set. I know that was a lot but I would’ve liked to know this stuff before I bought it 😂 If anyone has a question my ig: ugotnails ... show more

  • Read this review before buying
The people who are saying that the liquid got hard when left out or that the acrylic never hardened up clearly do not understand how led/UV nail products work. This monomer cures with an LED or UV lamp. Meaning it will stay wet until cured properly for 1 minute. This ALSO means that if the monomer is hit with ANY led light at all it will start to cure and thus get hard. This includes most desk lights and overhead lights. So if you leave the monomer in a clear bottle or just leave the bottle open in a lit room, THE LIQUID WILL HARDEN. That's how led products work. So if your going to try this product out, make sure you never have any direct light hitting the liquid or your brush. The brush will harden too if it's exposed to light. I used it and it was honestly great to work with. No smell aside from perfume. It hardened up half way while applying and then fully harder in the lamp. I just used it now so I'm not sure how the retention is yet but I will update this review once it's been a few weeks with it on. ... show more

  • No overwhelming smell
It smells like a vinegar of some sorts. But the smell doesn’t fill the room or run my husband out the house!! Small bottle for the price, it could be cheaper. I don’t think this is for beginners simply bc of how it behaves with certain polymers, it can be a bit runny regardless of how little monomer you use. It worked well either way. Sometimes I like like a more wet bead depending on what I’m doing. But a perfect bead is definitely attainable if using the right polymer. In my opinion, you need a good understanding of how acrylic beads work to use this monomer successfully. This would have been a nightmare if this would have been used when I first started nails. It’s perfect besides the price for so little ... show more

  • Monomer is defective, I would give no stars if i could
I ordered this a couple weeks ago and I was really excited to use it. However, when I began using it, I dipped my brush in it and then into the acrylic powder and the powder wouldn't even stick to it. I don't know if it had been filled with something else, but the monomer definitely didn't work for me. Also, there was giant long clump strings in it as if it had been used before and was dried and cured. I was not able to work with it. There is a smell, but low oder. I give it NO STARS because I had put in a return request last week and it says that the seller will respond within 48 hours and send an email IF they accept my request. I still have had no response and that is terrible customer service. This is my first time writing a bad review and I just want my money back, so if the seller sees this... please be a good person and give me my money back or else it's like a total scam. This is not the product I bought, nor expected. I didn't even get the chance to use it on a client. ... show more

  • Odorless part was great, but was it usable? Not really.
Ok so, I’m not a professional nail tech or anything, but I’ve been doing my own acrylics for quite some time and have tried many different types of monomers. When it comes to the smell, it’s not bad. It’s definitely not odorless, but it’s not nearly as strong as some other brands I’ve used, so I’m not complaining. They did a good job on that end. When it comes to consistency, this monomer is very oily. I guess it’s because of whatever is added to cancel out the smell, but it is very difficult to use. Using a normal amount of monomer to pick up a bead doesn’t work, you have to drench the brush to even make a semi okay bead. Even then, the powder hardly sticks to the brush at all. I guess you don’t have to worry about the acrylic being too liquid though? So not only does the acrylic not stick to the brush, it also does not allow the acrylic to dry once you finally get it on the nail. Make that make sense. It is a very slow drying monomer which makes it even more difficult to maneuver. Using a led nail lamp is pretty much the only way to harden it, but it makes the whole process so much longer. But if you prefer slow drying monomer than I guess this isn’t a bad thing. I just personally like when it dries relatively quickly. In general it’s not a horrible monomer, but I would not buy again nor recommend. ... show more
