I bought this for mine and my toddler daughter's bed (we co-sleep), so I wanted something agreeable to both of us. I love that it is very soft, but also girly and feminine without feeling too juvenile. The "cool" purple color feels almost like a neutral and it complements our purple curtains as well as the pink things in the room and our gray furniture. It is mid-weight, but perfect for us in southeast Pennsylvania. During the winter, I added an extra blanket underneath as well as a wool blanket at the foot of the bed for more warmth. We are also using it now in the middle of summer and it is comfortable. My daughter likes to use the soft pillow shams on her main pillow to sleep on. It has held up very well after several washes. This wasn’t a purchase for a child ! Nope I thought silvery hearts on a plush soft lavender background? When could I sign up for that? So I placed the item in my Amazon basket and waited for the perfect season to roll around to purchase what I knew was going to be so luxurious (if a bit pricier than I truly wanted to initially pay) but in end Is and will always be a totally justified and utterly necessary vanity purchase!
