I purchased Baccarat Rouge 540 under the impression that it was an authentic product, especially given its premium price point. While the bottle itself appears genuine and well-presented, the condition of the interior packaging was concerning—the inside of the box was torn, suggesting it may have been opened and resealed. Additionally, the fragrance performance is noticeably poor. The scent lasts only a couple of hours before fading completely, which is unusual for this product. In comparison, even some of my more affordable fragrances have significantly better longevity. The fragrance also seems diluted, which raises further doubts about its authenticity. For reference, I own another Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrance purchased from a different, reputable source, and its performance is exceptional and long-lasting. Based on this experience, something does not seem right with the item I received.

I previously purchased a sample of this fragrance from a different seller to evaluate the scent, and I was very impressed. The fragrance lasted well on my skin and had a noticeable oil-based feel. However, the full product I received from this seller did not meet the same expectations. The scent faded very quickly, and the texture felt much lighter and dried almost immediately. When comparing it directly with the sample, it appeared significantly more diluted, lacking both the longevity and oil-rich feel. Based on my personal experience, the product did not match the quality I expected for the price. Unfortunately, I’m disappointed with this purchase.

My first red flag with this product was that the product label was not attached to the product. It arrives and the label was separate from the actual bottle. Now I do understand that I guess there’s a possibility this can happen through shipping but it definitely made me a bit skeptical from the start. Then, as I wore the perfume the last few days, it was nowhere near potent. This is supposed to be a perfume and instead it seems like a spray. The cheap alcoholic version as opposed to the pure perfume version. The spray bottle also leaks, which makes me feel like it’s just a faulty bottle and package. For all the money, I spent, this is an extreme disappointment, and I would never buy this again Through Amazon. Honestly, I’m scared to buy it again. my first bottle of this was a gift from my boyfriend and it just lasted longer and it was a better product. Something is just off with this one so be weary if you purchase from Amazon.

In comparison to the same perfume I tried in New York stores this one seemed significantly weaker. Still the same incredible scent but Ive used dupes that seemed stronger than the bottle I got for some reason. That being said there’s something magical about how Baccarat sets with your skin and natural pheromones I’m obsessed with this perfume and always will be.
