Using these for kids backpacks and coats etc. Got tired of never being able to find school stuff in the morning. Con: Does not have a latch mechanism on the doors. The only way the door stays closed is if it is locked. Assembly was a bit of a struggle since I did it alone. Very important that you get the shelves and top aligned just right to have the latches work correctly. Very hard to take apart to fix. Pros: That being said its sturdy and has a lot of space. Way better than any that I used in school. It is being used by a 5 & 7 year old and they have plenty of space for back packs, coats, hats, gloves, lunch boxes, and pencil boxes. I bought 2 of the two-door lockers for my kids. Putting these lockers together is very simple and easy. The metal square things are just to keep the locker stuff together in the box. They are not for the lockers at all. They seem to be sturdy as my 7-year-old who weights about 80 lbs has climbed inside the locker to hide from his siblings. It has not bent or broken the shelf.
