I have installed the brackets first to the storage metal pockets that on the door vs the recommended after fitting on the door. But my hands are too big to be tightening the screws. They are much better than the netting Jeep puts on the doors when it comes to being sturdy. They are metal, so they don't give at all. Other than the front of the storage, there isn't much room for anything. The metal comes off the door frame make a half inch for most of it so you aren't going to put much in there maybe the mail and a left over piece of pop tart, good luck getting it out if you get hungry. After you install it, you are going to have two reactions. The first reaction is "Wow, that looks really good, I love it." the second reaction is going to be "Holy hell, that hurts so bad" because the first couple times you jump out of your Jeep, you aren't aware that your knee is going to hit the corner of the very sturdy metal storage pocket. It's going to make you limp for a while after you do it the first time. On a bright note, people tend to want to be nicer to you when they think you are crippled. Play along, you could get a couple free meals out of it. After a while, you realize you find yourself limping when you didn't need but the attention is so nice, you don't want to give up the limp. I found myself trying to hit my knee on it over and over but I couldn't get the limp the same as it originally was. They say good things never last, I know they mean now. It's a nice door storage if you only put a few things in it. Get the one with the cup holder build on. I can hold a tactical flashlight, a pew pew and an unopened pop tart. ... show more

Easy to install. Very heavy duty. The cup holder is big enough for a water bottle or a something along the lines of a white claw size but you can’t fit a soda can in it. None the less I love them.
