Took these to Alaska where it was cold and wet. They kept my feet warm and dry on a snowy glacier, hiking in a rainforest, standing in 2 inches of water getting into a canoe, hiking in the rain and more. I didn’t have any discomfort - no breaking in necessary. I wore them all day and had no friction or blisters. They did feel a little heavier than my usual daily sneakers but that’s to be expected with a rugged shoe. These were a great purchase.

The day after these shoes arrived I wore them on what I thought would be a short hike to break them in. Unfortunately my hiking partner and I got off the trail and found ourselves lost. Eventually we refound civilization, but not before hiking over lots of tree roots, muddy puddles, across a creek (where my foot slipped into the water), and covering about 6 miles. Best part was these shoes were as comfortable after the hike as they were when I put them on and, yes, they are definitely water proof. So glad I bought these!

Great shoes, purchase them for a vacation. Walked all over the place from city cobblestone streets to Oceanside rocks. Feet were comfortable safe and sturdy. Supported. No slip no falls. I would definitely buy another pair.

I love their fit and feel. Very lightweight but sturdy. I have bunions and need a wide toe box. These are amazing. I wanted to break them in before we hike on an alaskan cruise in a month but wore them for a 2 mile walk today for the first time and they felt great!

Very slight sloppiness but wearable for outside chores. On my second year with them and put thin insoles in them for more cushion. I can wear them for 5 mile walks, coaching son’s baseball games and working outside with no problem.

This is a solid Merrill shoe. Purchased because my husband insisted I needed a new pair of hikers for winter time. This are a little heavier/bulkier than I am used to. They will probably last forever as I won't wear them as frequently as my other favorite Merrills.

This is my third pair of Moab waterproof shoes/boots. I like the non slip sole and strong support. When my 10 year old pair began to crack at the sole I knew it was time for another pair…so I bought two more! I should be set for 20 years now. Good support for my over pronation feet; I don’t need to add my custom insoles. I bought another popular brand a few years ago at a hiking store, and they are ok, but these feel better after a day on my feet. When I get them muddy, I turn the hose on high and blast the dirt/off, then put them in the sun to dry. Great hiking/gardening shoes.

They're nice shoes. And I like the color. But the color of the entire shoe is OLIVE DRAB and not tan with olive sole accents. They're really using some serious "Captain Kirk's uniform" lighting on this pic!
