  • Very glad I bought these boots!
Size: 7.5 Color: Granite
Previously i had several pairs of keen targhee hiking boots which i really liked but the way they were made there was a seam that always rubbed uncomfortably on my big toe, causing me pain if i wore them for long periods of time. I was worried these boots might do the same thing but they dont. they fit wonderfully - lots of room in the toe box (i did go 1/2 size up from what i was previously wearing) but even with the spacious toe box my feet do not move around in them and i dont get any uncomfortable rubbing or blisters. these do say they are waterproof, but unfortunately they are not gore-tex so im sure the waterproof layer will only stay waterproof for so long, but thats the case with any kind of boot made from leather or suede. i hope these are as rugged as the targhee hiking boots were as i live in colorado and lots of the hiking i do is over terrain with sharp rocks which tend to destroy shoes which are made of man-made materials. so far they are holding up good and they are very very comfortable. oh - my only other complaint is the shoe laces - not a big deal but they are round laces which i never like - they come untied easily and you have to be careful not to accidentally trip on them when this happens, so i replaced the laces with half-round laces which are much better and stay tied. wish merrell would switch the kind of laces because i dont see any advantage to round laces. ... show more

  • Merrell Women's Moab 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot
Size: 7.5 Color: Boulder/Blush
I’m a fan of Merrell Hiking Boots. This is my second pair. My first pair is falling apart. I have not tested them on a hike or to see how waterproof they are yet. I’ll update after I do. As for the fit, I wear a 7.5 and that’s the size I purchased. I have a fairly slim foot and they fit perfectly with regular socks. I did not go up a half size because I didn’t want to have to wear thick socks with these boots. I can tell these boots are a little heavier than my last one’s (which weren’t waterproof) probably due to the waterproof lining. It’s not a dealbreaker, it’s still a relatively light hiking boot. Look forward to trying them out. Will update soon. ... show more

  • Super comfortable nice fit!
I choose Merrell for the true to fit, and I like the Vibram sole. These boots are supportive yet lightweight, they are warm as well. I wore them in the winter in the mountains with snow on the ground and my feet stayed warm with wool socks. I have never got a blister on my hikes with these boots. Hikes are always in the mountains up and down for up to 6 miles at a time. My feet don't get too tired in these. Very comfortable boots in my opinion and I do have a hard time fitting shoes in general, finding that comfort level is hard, these have a high comfort level. ... show more

  • So comfortable
Size: 10 Color: Boulder/Blush
I have tendinopathy and a haglunds deformity as a result and finding good shoes has been a hellscape. These were instantly comfortable and the breaking in was almost non existent. I love these shoes so much. The water proof part is negotiable but I hardly care because I can actually walk longer in these. I’ve lost a lot of mobility and these have helped me get some back. ... show more

  • GREAT ANKLE SUPPORT!
Size: 9.5 Color: Granite
When I began my search for a good pair of hiking boots, I decided on these boots after reading the reviews. I was NOT disappointed! First of all, the boots look great! Most importantly, they are comfortable, and fit nicely around the foot! They also support your ankles, which is great to help keep you from twisting your ankle while hiking. I wear these boots for everyday wear, especially during the winter! The quality is very good! For sizing, I would suggest you order up half a size. Because I have foot problems, I needed more padding inside the boot, so I ordered up, to make room for the shoe inserts. Ordering up a half size should be enough for most. Looks nice, good quality, ankle support, comfortable, great fit! What's not to like? ... show more

  • If you’re debating on them… DO IT
Size: 11 Color: Boulder/Blush
I love these shoes so much, my first ever hiking shoe purchase and they are incredible! So very comfortable, I don’t even notice I have them on usually. Plenty of toe room without being too loose everywhere else, and I have wide feet. They’re breathable, yet super waterproof, wasn’t even avoiding puddles and my feet stayed dry and warm. The ankle support is nice, and the material bends will with the foot, so it doesn’t pinch the toes if you squat down. Get them, you won’t regret it ... show more

  • Feel great
Size: 9 Color: Granite
I chose to break in these new hiking boots on a shopping trip with my daughter and son. Did ALOT of walking; zero problems. They are comfortable and a nice weight boot for hiking. I wear an 8.5, but got a size 9 so I could wear thick socks. Fit was perfect!

  • Light boot won't drag you down!
Size: 10.5 Color: Granite
I appreciate that this boot feels light. I'd previously worn lower cut boots, or trail runners, so was concerned these would feel heavy. They feel great! I'd read prior reviews about sizing up. I generally wear a 9.5 or 10, so ordered the 10.5. They are big but not too big, especially when wearing my heavier socks. If I add a Dr. Schols they should be perfect. They are a bit warm, but that is probably because they are water-resistant. I have been on two fairly long hikes, and didn't feel like I even had to break them in - they were comfortable from the get-go. ... show more
