  • Best gift
Bought for my wife who needs wide shoes for plantar fasciitis. She said these are great quality, very comfortable, and came recommended for her specific needs. We did buy a half size bigger than usual per Amazon suggestion. We’ve been saving up for these & are hopeful they will serve for a long time. ... show more

  • Happy Hiker
Size: 7.5 Color: Brindle
I’ve had many brands and styles of boots in 20 years of hiking. Keen (2 pair) my last favorite~until these. Only because I need more support around my ankle due to health challenges. I hesitated ordering; thank you to Prime for “Try before you buy!” The fit was perfect. Keep in mind, I wear a 7 1/2 regularly, wear Smart Wool or Darn Tough socks, AND have an insert. I love the cushion where they tie and the toe box is wonderfully sized for me~not too narrow or wide. I’ve owned several Merrell shoes; I’m never disappointed! I have a rare cancer which has metastasized to bones (neck, back, hip, spine…). I’m picky and need support~I’m a happy hiker in these! ... show more

  • BEST HIKING BOOTS EVER
Size: 10 Wide Color: Sedona Sage
I went to the Roan Highlands in NC last month with my Merrell Blaze Aeros which are great water hiking shoes but failed at rocky mountain hikes because my ankles were rolling and twisting like crazy so I knew I needed more support. I got some Columbias but they were stiff and just didnt feel right. These Merrels matched the color and style of my Blaze so I took the plunge and got them. I literally could not shut up about these boots the entire hike. As you can see, my boyfriend was wearing sneakers and I had to walk ahead of him to let him know when something was muddy or wet, he was not a happy camper (literally) and I will be getting him some Merrells for our next hike. I did 2 days and about 15 miles on the Blue Ridge mountains, completed the Sam Knob mountain and Flat Laurel creek trails so these boots saw it all. This trail had lots of mud, rocks, climbs, and water. These boots took it all like a champ including fully submerging them in mud and creeks and they stayed completely dry and look brand new, I was absolutely blown away. The inserts are a bit too thin and tough for my taste so I replaced them with some Vomii memory foam insoles and it was the bees knees. The support is there, the grip is there, the style is there and they are comfy right out of the box. By the end of the hike my ankle did hurt a little but that's normal when breaking in new boots, especially when hiking such uneven and rocky terrain. I normally wear a 9-9.5 but I listened to the reviews and got a 10 and I'm glad I did because anything smaller would have been tight especially around the toe box especially because I wear them with thick Darn Tough socks. I love these boots so much I couldn't stop raving about them and said the first thing I would do when I got back home was write a review on them. Thank you Merrell for making the best hiking boots ever and best of all, they cost way less than the Salewas I was going to get. ... show more

  • Sent back the Moab 3 and took a chance on the Moab 2
Size: 11 Color: Brindle
Third pair of boots ordered was a charm! I have somewhat flat feet. The Moab 3's have a very hard, high arch support which gave me instant discomfort. I even tried removing the insert but the interior of the boot has the stiff support there, as well. I read some reviews that led me to believe I should give the Moab 2's a try and I am so glad that I did! There is a softer, less intrusive arch support system that my flattish feet can handle! Also, in my Merrell Siren hiking shoes (not boots) I wear a 10.5. In these I am happy to have ordered an 11. ... show more

  • Best Hiking Boots Ever!!!
Size: 8.5 Color: Sedona Sage

  • The toe box is very short but a little wide too in these 9 medium
I wanted a woman’s gortex hiking shoe with a good sole like Vibram. One that’s got some ankle support. Made of synthetic material. A waterproof shoe to keep rain out. Yet allow my foot to breathe if possible. This is that shoe. Except. The toe box is very short. I am not used to that. Yet the opening at the ankle is wide almost a gap on the inside on both shoes. I thought it was accidentally cut wrong at the factory when I tried on the first shoe. Until I laced up the one on the other foot and it had the same gap - mirror image. Guess if I decide to keep this size, I will try wearing a thinner sock in winter than I am used to. To make sure my toes don’t feel jammed up and hurt after hiking. Some reviews say they sized up half a size and wore heavy socks. I was ready to do that. But Amazon (or the manufacturer) had something pop up - that advised me to buy size 9 since that’s my “true size” (based on my previous purchases of Nike and Brooks running shoes and Rockport walking sandals on Amazon). And I just moved up from an 8.5 to a 9 on my running shoes because I am starting to have some foot issues. So this short toe box is definitely my least favorite thing about this make and model. If I decide to keep them. ... show more

  • Comfort, stability, support to recover from injuries.
I love that these are waterproof, have great tread for gripping varied terrain, and are surprisingly lightweight for a hiking boot. I will be wearing them to walk my two large standard poodles in all kinds of weather. I have incurred multiple achilles tendon injuries, so the ankle support is very much appreciated 👍 All in all, very pleased with my purchase. I did size up to ensure lots of space in the toebox area to accommodate bunions. Remarkably comfortable:) ... show more

  • Very happy this pair fits perfectly!
I like that they are wide and I specifically bought 8.5 wide. VERY COMFORTABLE; they do not pinch my toes and I felt very confident hiking with them. I hope Merrell continues to address wide feet sizes because I don't mind paying for them. These are perfect I think I will wear them to my dying days hiking all over the world! <3 ... show more
