This is a very cozy shoe, lined with fur inside. Probably great for very cold climates. If you want to wear heavy socks with this shoe, I recommend going 1 or a 1/2 size up. I ordered my usual size 9, but the shoe was very snug - and I wasn’t expecting the furry interior.

This is my fourth pair of Merrell Encore Ice shoes. I wear them in the winter. They are very comfortable. I love the fact that they are easy to put on and take off. This time, I purchased them in brown. But they come in many colors.

The Encore Q2 Ice Sneaker is far superior to these. If you have the choice, go with the Q2s. That said, these Encore Ice 4 Mocs, are very comfortable. They do not have any of the support that the Q2s have and they don't seem as sturdy. That said, my orthotics fit in these perfectly, I love this color, and the price was right, so I'm keeping them. Attractive, comfortable, except for the size since the fleece adds almost a full size to the shoe. Returned for a standard Merrill only half size required larger. Very comfortable. His and her shoes ordered without the fleece lining. A very quality made shoe, pricier than most, but worth it.
