We have ordered these twice for our toddler. They're great shoes, quite durable, great traction for running on rugged terrain, and plenty of room for his wide feet and toes, but the bungee design leaves something to be desired. You might as well be trying to put a typical narrow shoe on, because the opening to get the child's foot into the shoe is pulled so tight by the bungee that it must be jammed and wrestled onto the foot. We clip the bungee and re-tie the shoe looser so it can be pulled on without the distress caused by forcing it onto his foot. ... show more

Great hiking shoe for my almost 3 yr old son. These are the 2nd pair we’ve purchased. They must be comfortable because he loves wearing them. They provide good traction on rocky and gravel trails. The wide seems to fit his feet perfectly.

Toe box is a bit wider than other brands but not true wide . Both children have high insteps and have worn the baresteps ridge boot which has better room for the instep - wish this was still available. These shoes really need regular laces and fully adjustable tongue or double velcro option. My 4 year old says these feel better than the Columbia ones and they do seem more roomy. ... show more
