I have hiked in these for many miles. Different trails and terrain, including a 14er in Colorado with slip-on micro spikes. They are extremely comfortable and waterproof. I have walked in shallow streams, fully submerging the toe of the boot without water getting in. My favorite hiking boots thus far. They have held up nicely and seem like they will continue to. Lightweight, super comfortable, and good ankle support. I wear a 14 and they fit true to size if a tad large. Took them on a steep hike and they did great. This was my first pair of Merrells but now I am a big fan.

I can't tell you how completely torn I am with these hiking boots. The weight is great, comfort 8/10, the fit was perfect, great water resistance, I honestly believed I had found my perfect hiking boots. However, I get home after I think it was about 10 miles, nothing too crazy, considered a beginners backpacking trail I believe, Hyndman Peak, and I start rinsing the boots and see that the bottom side foam/rubber is completely torn on both the left and right sides, essentially making these boots unsafe and unusable, falling apart after my first hike. I'm honestly so disappointed because otherwise I would have continued to buy these exact same boots, not too mention, these were my first pair of Merrills. ... show more

I found these boots extremely comfortable, lightweight, and quick to break in. They did a fantastic job at keeping water out and the only downside was the moisture from your foot can’t get out. Average value for what you get. I will get another pair when I see them on sale.
