I got these because they are offered in wide, decent color and are mostly waterproof. I feel a little bit taller when wearing this; great for a short gnome like myself. They actually can be slipped on, with no hands involved sort of like slippers. Really convenient for a quick outing in inclimate climate like muddy ground where they do well due to the gnarly tread. One downside is my foot become clammy, which is a problem with most gortex or waterproof shoes I hear. As long as I don't wear them all day it's fine. I probably would not go on a hike with these as that can become uncomfortable, especially if your feet get wet, they take longer to dry out compared to sneakers. I've heard this sentiment also echoed by seasoned long distance hikers, one of which actually prefers sneakers on hikes.

I had previously had a Merrill hiking shoe and this one did not disappoint. The fit was good and the shoe is very comfortable, solid and stable. I've had it for a few weeks now and it is very good for long walks and hikes.

I saw others wearing these and I needed a light Hiker. I love the vibram sole. Laces up easy for quickness. These are a Hiking shoe, so those of you looking for sneaker-softness might have to swap in a gel sole, or look elsewhere. this is a hiker! The bed fit my foot well so I didn't need that. It's well made! The only problem I have is that they are just a tiny bit small from front to back. I'm a guy with a longer index toe, so if you'e not one of those, you will probably have a better fitting that way. I can't go any bigger without sacrificing overall fit. Still, it's not a game-stopper as long as I lace up properly and wear good socks. I think I will have these for a long time.

Hiked down and up the Grand Canyon with these and they were great. Only issue is the soft toe can cause some pain when you're doing downhill, but otherwise worked great.

This wide fits like a glove with a large toe box but moderate heel width. The cushioning is ample. There has been almost no breaking time. The sole has an angle cut that propels one forward. This is not a shoe for moving backwards or sideways. Excellent for trail, city and garden usage.

These shoes look great and being waterproof really helps since I am often walking in wet grass. After a few days of wearing these shoes strangely both of my knees were hurting. I bought some insoles and when I took the factory insoles out found they were so cheap and thin. With the new insoles my knees quit hurting and now I like them.

I bought these shoes for easy hiking and everyday activities. They were to replace a set of Vasque boots which were similar in design but not water resistant. After 6 months I have found the shoes are comfortable. They were worn in the rain on concrete as well as desert hill hikes. I replaced the laces with self tightening running laces and foot slide is negligible.I have wide feet and these fit well. Traction is excellent. Build is excellent for the price point. However, the pair I have does not breathe. I have worn about every type of boot you can think of (I was in the military for 20+ years) and the closest model to " breathability" I would compare these to are Danner Go Devils. I found that in almost every circumstance my feet would be soaked after 2 hour or more of wear. I might have gotten a pair from a bad material run...but I would not buy these again. The lack of breathing of the material makes them unusable for long day hikes or outdoor sports. They wrecked my feet a couple of times.
