Let me start by saying that I walk through a city all day in business casual for my job. I used to buy cheap shoes but would end up going through one a pair per month...then I went to the shoe store and bought a pair of expensive "walking" shoes, and within two months they were ruined. I've done extensive research and finally settled on buying two pairs of shoes that I alternate between. The first pair are Merrell Men's Jungle Moc Slip-On Shoe,Fudge,14 M US (I also reviewed them) and the second pair are these. What I tend to do is wear one pair on Monday then the other pair on Tuesday etc with exception of if it's wet or rainy (which it tends to be); I then I would just wear these. To give you some perspective of how durable these shoes are, I bought them in September of 2015 and as of today they are still holding strong. Sure, they're worn, but no holes and the insoles are as strong as ever. I calculated through Google Fit that I've walked 1066.60 miles since I've bought these, which means that I've walked about 700 miles in these shoes! The primary difference between these and the other pair is that these are waterproof. They also tend to breathe less, but it only bothers me in the very humid summers. Now, when I say that these are waterproof, let me tell you, they do an amazing job. Torrential downpours? No problem. High wet grass? Puddles? Not an issue for these! If you're going to be in a damp area, grab these. If you're going to be hot and dry areas, go for the other ones. Unsure? Grab 'em both. These shoes were well worth my money: durable and professional looking. P.S. One thing I should note is that these are WALKING shoes. They don't help you much if you want to run or do any sort of athletics or sports in them, they're not sneakers. ... show more

I have finally become an old man. I am too fat to tie my shoes anymore. These shoes are super comfy and have good arch support. They are great but they aren’t going to get you any chicks!

I spend a lot of time gardening and doing yard work, in all kinds of weather, and after trying Crocs, Birkenstocks, and other footwear, only these keep my feet dry and relatively clean. Expensive, but I guess that is because they are rated as waterproof.

Great shoes, width was good, length was a little small. I wear 10.5-11 depending on the shoe. And this shoe fit better as an 11. I have medium high arches and the arch support is great and very comfortable on my feet. The top of the shoe was a little tight but they are starting to break in nicely. I’m in Southern Louisiana so I’m glad I got the waterproof mocks. I will definitely purchase more Merrel shoes, great shoe and worth the money. ... show more

This is the fourth pair of this style of Merrill's I've purchased over the last several years. I wear 11 1/2 to 12, depending on the shoe and the style. I always order a 12 in this style and thought they fit snugly for the first few days, they eventually stretch to conform to my feet.

Maybe priced a tad bit too high, yet still, great quality for the price. My Akita HONKED one of the two from the previous order. So maybe not quite as durable as a hiking shoe but certainly strong enough for every day usage out in public; not necessarily in the mountainssand on the trails. certainly not as simple as a regular slip on/slip off, but they are much more comfortably snug as a result. This is the go to slip on for my husband. We have tried many other brands but he always wants Merrell. They do run a bit smaller than most slip ons so order a half size up. They are comfortable out of the box for him and wear pretty well for the time he spends on his feet.
