Exactly what I needed for work, especially during the really hot and humid temperatures this year in my area. Customers don't realize the dining room has air conditioning. The kitchen does not, so whatever the temperature is outside its at least 20 degrees hotter in the kitchen. The mesh backing is my favorite part. Amazing product. Worth every penny. Only down side is that it is kind of a lint magnet but nothing a lint roller can't handle. Also the collar doesn't bunch or or anything from wearing an over the neck apron which for me that is extremely important. I bought one to try it out...decided to get 4 more. Can't wait to use it next summer! Only thing that would make this shirt better would be snap on buttons...but that's just my personal preference. Regardless it's an amazing product. ... show more

This is based on my first time wearing this coat, but I will update once I've spent more time wearing this coat. Comfort: I've found this coat to be very comfortable. The fabric doesn't leave you itchy or feeling like you wrapped on your upper arms and torso. Even while doing dish and working grill and sauté, I didn't get the feeling of being overly hot or sweating like it's going out of style. Fit: this is where I took a star off. The sleeves themselves don't catch or restrict your range of motion like a couple different brands I own have, but my issue is with length. I am aware that I'm on the bigger side (6 feet even, low 280 lbs range) and I can usually go true to size (XL) and be fine. Here isn't the case, where the length of the coat is not ideal. This could change as I'm in the process or losing weight, but I would recommend going 1 size up for the heavyset people out there. Overall, I think this should be a great coat, especially for the price. Again, the only knock I could give is the length being shorter than I'd like. 11/25 Update: So in the time from the last review, I'm pretty sure the coat got even shorter from being washed as it's felt like it rides up even more than my first few uses. So I'd like to amend my recommendation of going 1 size up to possibly two sizes up. Still ridiculously light and breathable, but it's just not meant for bigger people it seems. ... show more

I work in a professional kitchen that often gets very hot. The mesh back panel keeps me cool in these conditions and that is a life saver. Some shirts like this look funny because the mesh back panel looks different than the rest of the shirt. These shirts are a uniform color, and the way they are cut and sewn makes them look very professional, unlike some of the overly baggy chef's shirts and tunics I have purchased. I would feel totally comfortable going out to the pub for a beer after work wearing this, as it looks good, fits well, and is almost indistinguishable from a regular black button up shirt.
