I researched several cat towers online and noticed quite a few are small for larger cats. There are many sizes, varying heights, colors and features. When I reviewed the actual dimensions, I noticed the majority had less than 12 by 12-inch platforms and napping rests. Several, I noticed, had actual pictures of the same cat (different positions) photoshopped on the ledges to simulate a size. I found I needed to be cautious when researching. I suggestion looking for actual dimensions. The ones with photoshopped cats were making the cats much smaller than they are giving the impression a particular tower is larger than it is. When I came across the Meow Sir cat tree, it was perfect for two larger cats. The soft carpets and scratching posts were well fabricated. The tower is tall enough but not too tall, and the base broad enough to not topple over easily. It was very easy to put together and the ledges and "condo" and hammock features were all between 18 and 21 inches long by 11 or more inches wide. It is very sturdy and looks great brand new. Can't wait to see the cats explore and play on it. My review is not to disparage other models, just suggesting look for actual dimensions as you shop. If you have larger cats, some models show kittens or small cats in pictures which give the impression the platforms are larger than they actually are. ... show more

Easy to assemble/ the only thing to make it easier was have it assembled.But, really not an issue. Nice and sturdy. Plenty of room to stretch out and sleep/ relax.

First of all, this is HUGE. It’s taller than me and I’m over 6 feet tall. It is also extremely soft, like teddy bear material. It’s great for big cats, my 10 pounder fits in both little houses with room to spare and fits though every door. Took an hour or so to build and it was easy enough. This cat tree is super easy to put together! My cats were immediately interested and haven’t gotten out of it since. My larger cat is 20 lbs and he fits perfectly in the hammock. He mostly fits on the top perch, but still loves the cushy edges. They immediately broke the ball toy that hangs…and the hammock did rip at the seam after less than a day (I can easily sew the seam so the cats can continue to enjoy it). I love it! I’ve seen many around town in different stores that were pathetic in size and interest and all cost around the same. When I found this I thought, I’d much rather try this for the price and at least I like the color and everything. The green pops and keeps a clean look to it. My cat loves it! She was on it as I was building it. The removable bed is great for washing. All the steps and play boxes are big enough for my large fully grown cat. She has used every area so far. I haven’t secured it yet as I put it by my double doors so she can see out from top to bottom during the day and it hasn’t tipped except when the dog try’s to climb it of course. I will be securing it when it gets moved in my office but for now it’s sturdy enough and heavy enough to hold up my one big kitty. ... show more

Easy to assemble. Just be sure to read the sticker on each post carefully and match it to the diagram. I found it helpful to position the base with the scratch pad facing me. Reference each post to the diagram and be sure to screw it on straight. The "house" was a surprise, if very clever. The thing is packed flat. The four smallest posts go inside to lift the "roof". There are no hard sides on it. My cats love it. The largest, 18 lbs fits nicely and the smallest, 8 lbs, races up and down on it. Those in between are just as pleased, hence the second purchase. I haven't washed the removable perch cover yet, but I like the concept. This compares favorably with many other cat trees I have owned, and is reasonably priced. I haven't had a cat tree that lasts forever, no matter who made it. The sisal gets shredded, the carpet lets go and faux fur or fleece develop holes and tears. I will be interested in observing the durability of this one. So far, so good. ... show more

As soon as I finished putting this together, my cat immediately jumped on it! He absolutely loves it! It's pretty well built and decent quality for the price. Assembly took maybe an hour to complete alone but the directions are very clear and it's well packaged. Colors look exactly like the photos!
