I'm dark-skinned "chocolate" & was worried if I picked the right color. If you want something very discrete/subtle and not into bright colors doesn't hurt to try it out. If your skin tone is in the range of MAC foundation in NW44 to NW47, Fenty 400+, Lancome foundation 470 Suede, Too Faced Born This Way in Chestnut, NARS Macao, NYX foundation in 17.5 Sienna etc. then you will LOVE this semi-matte lip color in Peach Please! It is the PERFECT peach - not too over or underwhelming, goes on smooth, feels light - as if you're not wearing anything on you lips and looks good with or without a liner. I'm a black woman and I like "natural" shades. I read some good reviews for Mented lipsticks. First: They need to put colors on various shades of women in their ads. Selecting a color was a total crap-shoot (as in a gambling craps-table). Second: The color did not match what was advertised. I have a 1 year old iMac (the coloration is great), and the color did not resemble what I received. I have to add a bit of pink, red, peach - whatever to make the color work. I purchased "brown bare" - nothing like the image. I can make it work with mixing with other colors, but for $17, its disappointment. ... show more

This mented trio of lip colors is stunningly beautiful. I fully expected for the Nude La La color to be one that would not be flattering on me. Guess what? It is just beautiful. All of the colors are beautiful. The colors are lovely and relatable for an everyday running errands or sitting pretty at home, or can be built up for a more dramatic evening/night out look. I like everything about this nude lipstick. Color is right saturation, glides on lips, feels creamy but not messy, slight scent and taste is pleasant. Bc it's such a good match for my lip color, I use this for a natural look, or as a base before I add another color. I'll be buying this again.
