Daughter is getting married on a cruise, dress code is golf resort meets afternoon cocktail party. For her Dad to give her away she wanted something that would coordinate with her ivory wedding dress, not formal but was hoping for a little “bling” in a shirt. It looks so attractive in the listing but it’s a bit over the top (pardon the pun) when it came to the shiny gold look. The shirt is not soft but rather on the stiff and scratchy side, quality of the fabric is there and the fit is true to size. Normally this would be a nice weight fabric, but with the shiny it doesn’t look like it would breathe in a tropical climate. Price point is good, but it would only be a one time wear. Overall not a good look on him. May be more appropriate for a nightclub.

I ordered the size I normally wear and this one was too small. Also, the fabric was so shiny it looks ridiculous. The product description described it as "silk-like." Well, I own some nice silk shirts and they sure don't look like this fabric. There's not much more I can say about this except I'm disappointed.

This shirt weighs 6.90 ounces out of the package. That's a respectable weight for a shirt, makes it hang well, feels more expensive than it is. It's not really "floral" though, despite the product title. It's more a "leaf" design, more masculine than anything floral could be. If you don't believe me, magnify one of the shots -- leaves and a paisley-like pattern, no flowers at all. All the hems are secure, the buttons have thread in all four holes, not just two, those buttons are color-matched to the fabric, and there's an extra one sewn onto the care label inside, in case one of these special buttons gets lost, though that seems unlikely with the secure threading. Even without an undershirt beneath, the 97% polyester / 3% spandex fabric is super-soft against the skin and not at all itchy like some polys are. As a Libra guy, ruled by the planet Venus, I'm a member of the zodiac sign considered the final arbitors of good taste. If you're interested in something tastefully different, something that shows you care about your appearance but know not to go over the line in the flash department, this shirt's the real deal. It's now my favorite short-sleeve shirt, bar none. 5 well-deserved stars for excellent work in all phases of the design and execution for this "Gem"-itop. And no, I don't own shares of Jemitop, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and this product excels on all counts.
