Very pleased, but ordered a size up

My wife and I stopped at a few stores the day before I ordered two sports coats from this company. The prices in the store were $400-$650 each. I did read the reviews before ordering and saw the “frequently returned” notice so I ordered a size larger than the chart. In my case I’m a 5’9” competitive power lifter. I weigh 230lbs, have a 46.5” chest and 35” waist. I ordered XXL. The chest fits great. The waist is a bit boxy but that’s to be expected. Im not shaped like most guys and don’t have a gut. Im simply taking them to a tailor to have the sleeves shortened by 1” and have the waist taken in a few inches. The fabric is very nice and the quality is great. For the price I’m very astonished. Nice but wrong color

The jacket was the right fit and nice fabric but the color was off. what I was looking for on the picture it was match in person it was off. The jacket was light but not to light for my liking, i had to return it the price was right. I will order in a different color

Great Value & Good Cut

Husband is 6’1, 200 pounds. He loves this jacket. We were afraid of the slim fit at first, but it fits great. It tapers in nicely at the sides to give that sport coat, slim fit. It’s sturdy and well made. The fabric is the only thing that could be improved on. It LOOKS great, but feel wise, it’s a little course and spongy. A little on the small side XXL (or the largest available). The fit is fine, but I would not order if you have a bulge in your middle. I am 5'9/10" 190 lbs. and it is a tight fit for me, but it's just fine. But outside of that, I love the look and deep blue within the pattern. It's just aaahite - BUT
OK, this coat is OK, but not fantastic. That said it's super cheap, so you get what you pay for. Like another guy here, I bought the FIRST coat to my ACTUAL size using their chart, which is a mess by the way. However, another reviewer gave me the inspiration to return the first and buy a larger one. I lift weights and my chest is much bigger than my waist so I had to top out at the 3x, as the 2x was MUCH - MUCH smaller in everyway. The arms, the coat length, and so on was more like it was 4 sizes smaller, which is just odd... So while in the middle of returning the first coat like I said previously I came across this great review, this guys situation was very similar to mine so I ordered the 3x and YES it fits my shoulders nicely BUT the lower half of the coat is SUPER BOXY, I mean not good looking at all. I would never wear a anything looking this weird however, I will be taking this (like the other reviewer did) to a tailor to get the lower half of the coat fitted properly to my body. If the bottom comes out a nice as the top looks it will be a really nice casual wear coat. MATERIAL: It's very lite material so don't expect YEARS of wear from this garment. DESIGN: The design is really the main reason I bought this in the first place, and yes I still really like that.
