Whew! Had a scare with these, because I was wearing super-thick socks when I tried them on, and they were too tight. I went to exchange them for the next size, and only had the option to return. Liked them so much, and really needed a brown pair of dress shoes, so I aborted the mission, and hoped to make them work. Tried them on this morning, with some athletic socks that are still thicker than dress socks, but considerably thinner than the Winter sicks I had on yesterday, and they work! Just a little snug, but doable, and probably more-so, with thinner dress socks, and some breaking in. I would recommend, if you find yourself between sizes a lot, that you might want to go up a half size, rather than down, with these. Between brands, I find myself anywhere from between a 9, and a 10.5. I will usually go for a 9.5 to be safe, when ordering, which is what I did here. In this case, I think a 10 would be perfect. So yeah, I was scared these weren't going to work, and/or that I couldn't get replacements, because they are BADASS. These guys really went an extra couple miles. The packaging is luxurious, for one. Handsome box, each shoe has its own felt-like bag, and each one is stuffed with paper, with a rod that holds it in place for retaining its shape, and there's also a nice shoe horn in the box. I don't generally use shoe horns, but I might with this one, just to be all fancy. LoL. The shoe itself has a very classic look, but with modern technology on the bottom. Has a more rounded, rubber-like sole and tread, rather than the traditional leather, or crappy squared-off heels. And, super comfortable (other than mine being just a tad tight, new). It has a feel like a dress shoe, a tennis shoe, and a house slipper all went thirds on a baby, and the price point is pretty amazing.     • Brown Shoe Looks Different - Much Darker

I bought the brown, plain toe, derby dress shoes. The shoes were light-weight and might have been a decent shoe. However, the brown was much darker than pictured here on Amazon. In low light it's indistinguishable from black. And the product picture shows the brown shoe as looking multi-hued with darker tones by the seams and toe - a nice look for brown leather shoes. Instead this brown shoe is monochromatic. I have uploaded a picture to show how it really looked. ... show more

Not sure I ever thought of myself as a loafer shoe guy, but with a few pairs of boat shoes, I do like the style. When I grabbed these Jepsengord Venetian Dress Loafers for Men it was because I'd recently gotten another pair of the Jepsengord brand and really liked them, so figured I needed to try these. I am so glad I did. They - like the first pair - are a very nicely made shoe, fit spot on, and look and feel great on. Arriving in the brand box, the shoes are well wrapped in their individual cloth shoe bag - embroidered with a Jepsengord logo and perfectly soft to protect and care for your shoes. There is also a shoehorn for making sure you're not damaging the heel with repeated wear. One on the shoes look and feel great. I'm not at all sure what they are made from - assuming some sort of leather - but they have a nice texture to them, all points are well constructed, and like I said, they felt great on. I figured I'd wear them with a no-show or low sock, but wasn't sure. Put them on with nothing and liked the look, so who knows down the road how I'll do it, but I like that I have a choice. They are black, but as you'll see in the pics, there's a hunt of blue. I've only had the chance to wear them around the house, but it was a great wear - good support, felt good, and my feet never got too hot (yes, without the socks). In then end I'm glad I gave these a shot. I have, on occasion, situations where I want to wear something a little more than flip flops or boat shoes and these loafers are going to make that decision a whole lot easier. This is also a great brand, so I'll be keeping an eye out for them in the future. ... show more

I ordered a couple pairs of Jepsengord dress shoes last month and was very impressed with their quality, appearance, craftsmanship--the whole deal. I was looking forward to trying some of their more casual shoes and I jumped at the chance to order these loafers. As was the case with the dress shoes, the presentation is first rate. Even the shoebox is gorgeous--so much so they've I've used it as a backdrop for my review photographs lately. Shoe bags are included as is a shoe horn. I had never heard of this brand previously, but they do amazing work in every part of the process--from the soles of the shoes to the box they're sold in. Zoe the Cat appreciates the shoe box as well but she's not included. They were a little snug when I put them on--not surprising for quality shoes. I was anticipating that I might need to 'break them in' a bit. Instead, it took a half hour of wear to perfectly accommodate my feet. After this, they were extremely comfortable and I wore them all day and into the evening. They're extremely light and obviously they look great. Same deal as with the dress shoes: These are legit gentleman's shoes. No matter what you wear with these loafers, they let the world know that you're an important man with impeccable taste in footwear. My highest recommendations--these are amazing shoes. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more Jepsengord shoes in the future. ... show more

    • Every little detail was considered with these!
I was very impressed with these shoes from the second I opened the Amazon box. The company has meticulously paid attention to every little detail of their packaging, from the box, to the shoe bag, to the shoe horn; let alone the amazing quality of the shoe. Really just a beautiful experience from beginning to end. The leather is soft, the stitching is perfect, the shoe fits true to size and my boyfriend reported that they are very comfortable. He wore these to a formal dinner party and they made him look so sharp. I highly recommend! ... show more
