This kit really has it all for a beginner. You get a variety of different chains, all rolled and separated from one another. Two strands of suede type cord, a variety mix of mostly Western themed charms, a sizable bundle of little hardware bits like clasps and rings, a tool for opening jump rings, and a set of pliers. The charms vary a little in quality, but all are fine for beginner jewelry. I will specify though that the materials, the chains especially, are beginner quality. Something low stakes for the uncertain and unlearned creator. It will look good enough to wear it casually, and not tank your wallet on your quest to great jewelry creations. For the sheer variety, but also quantity, the price for this kit is a good one and worth your consideration.

This jewelry material set comes in a tin plastic storage container, which snugly fits everything listed without requiring a puzzle game to get it all back in. I received a 6 more beads that described in the listing, in addition to the assortment of pendants. I have no repeats. I received quite a few more crab-claw clasps than the 10 expected. The ring blank is not adjustable. The metal used for each pendant is thin enough to cut off the charm rings, if you just want the objects themselves not as charms. These charms would work well as casts for anyone making silicone molds. The 10 chain rolls are not rolled exceedingly well, as the chains are slipping off on the sides, despite being taped down. I did notice some tarnishing on two rolls, but they had only one isolated spot each. For a beginner/amateur, this isn’t going to cause issues. I do wish that the chains had labels so I can learn the titles and descriptions for buying chains in the future.

This jewelry-making kit is perfect for anyone starting out! The 10 rolls of 18K gold-plated chains are high quality, and the gold color is beautiful and shiny. There’s plenty of material (78.7 feet!) to create multiple necklaces and bracelets, and the chains are easy to work with. I’m new to jewelry making, and this kit gives me all the basics I need to get started. It’s a great value, and I’ve already made a few pieces that turned out amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try DIY jewelry making!

My daughter-in-law is Japanese so our grandson has an Asian name (Hiro). I ordered this item for a different purpose but when it came in I realized that I could make a custom necklace for one of the ladies in my family. In the image I chose a chain that is probably too heavy for a lady but there are LOTS of choices I could make. I laid out my grandson's name below the chain and I think once I get the "right" chain selected it will come out really well. Highly recommend this collection if you want variety and many options.
