I bought these for myself and my groomsmen for my wedding. They have a decent enough texture and feel to them. Folded pretty well. It was nice having different colors but the same style. It's not a skinny tie, but I would consider it skinnier than traditional. Not my first pick if you like thick knots or a broad display showing from underneath a high button suit or vest. These 'slightly' skinny ties also don't look right if you like to prop up your ties with a tie pin or bar IMO (works OK if it lays flatter with the chest, and with a shorter tie bar). Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but the width of these slightly skinny ties reminds me of the kids ties I would wear when I was a preteen going to some recital/ceremony/funeral. However, I think it would pair well if you are into slim suit styles. Personally, I'm using it for work (dress shirt and slacks sans jacket) and it looks great. I'm happy with the fabric, design, and 'adult' length. Color on the black with blue stripes is very dark... the navy blue is very dark, and with the sheen looks purple with cheap soft white LED lighting... The 'blue' is more noticeable in sunlight or color correct lighting. ... show more
