I bought the gold plated ring with the red CZ. I choose it because of the simple design. The ring fit perfectly and was very comfortable. The dark red stone looks more like a high quality pyrope garnet than a ruby, but has a lot of fire and brilliance. What made me give the ring a low overall rating was while polishing the ring with a soft cloth a chunk of the stone just cleaved off. I was not polishing it hard either. This happened the day of delivery. The good news is at this price point it didn't hurt too much to throw the ring in the metal recycling bin. Just be warned the stone is delicate.
