If my picky teenager likes these, then probably others will. He needed a comfortable yet semi-dressy shoe for choir and school programs. I chose this one based on the style and the price. I would definitely purchase again, especially for a teenager that is likely to outgrow the shoe in a few months. I think my husband would also like this shoe due to the weight - its not bulk, its a light weight shoe, yet it was comfortable for my son. Pros: - looks sharp - versatile: can easily be worn to work for an elevated look or dressed down with jeans to be more casual - run true to size. If you are an 11.5, these will not fit in that your toe will be at the tippy top. Would suggest for someone the true size. If you are in-between sizes, I'd size up. - not blindingly white, more of an offwhite/eggshell. Looks better with the camel leather accents than pure bright white would - easy to wash and clean any dirt - will add my orthopedic shoe inserts to ensure comfortability and arch support since these are a flat shoe Eventually, I suspect the big toe will rub through the front since these don't have leather or plastic over the toe, but that's okay, it looks better this way. At this price point, I don't expect them to last forever. Because they are white they won't be my everyday shoe or one that I wear to cut grass, but am happy to wear them to the office or a day when I want to look nicer than gym sneakers. Bought the light blue, knowing they would get dirty quickly. What surprised me, was the sole splitting in half. Ordered another pair from same company, will test if the old pair can be washed safely (per their information). $38 bucks isn't bad for a step up from house slippers in comfort, and work well for general use. ... show more

I'm not really a fan of the discomfort associated with super-dressy shoes, so I'm always on the lookout for stealthy shoes that look put together while feeling comfortable. I picked these in black to review because the styling splits the difference really well between sneakers and dress - they're urbane enough to wear to a nice dinner, while casual enough to wear everyday. I'm pleased to report that in person, they look just as good as they do in the listing - and better still, they're crazy comfortable. The material these are made out of is mostly a stretchy webbing. My foot tends toward the 'slightly wider' side of the spectrum, and these accommodate that well. The back is constructed of a contrasting color leather that gives the styling some visual interest while retaining your heel so the shoe doesn't slide around too much when walking. There isn't a ton of support on the bottom - they are still comfortable to walk on, but the sole is pretty thin and these definitely aren't sports/workout shoes. That makes them a perfect travel shoe to pack, though - they nestle well in my suitcase and don't take up a ton of volume, which was greatly appreciated when I was headed out on a trip with a few fancy dinners. One pleasant surprise was how easy these are to put on and take off. Because everything's stretchy, they can definitely slip on and off without untying if you want them to - but the leather heel piece keeps them in place otherwise. My only real criticism is the prominent "Beprolam" text on the tongue of these. On one hand, I totally get trying to build up a brand and claiming credit for shoes that are surprisingly nice. On the other, I'm not a big fan of prominent branding on shoes even from well-known national brands, and here it ends up cheapening the overall look a little. It's not a dealbreaker and if you wear long pants, the cuffs may obscure the text some, but I wish they would have kept the branding inside the shoe rather than on the tongue (or at least done the branding in a color that isn't contrasting). All in all, I think these are pretty nice for the money and I might even consider picking up a second pair to keep in reserve. These shoes are light and breathable. The gray is a good color with the leather adds a nice looking touch. These shoes are mostly worn with casual shorts, have not tried them with pants. They fit a little snug but are flexible. I really like the style of these shoes.

These are on the casual side of dress sneaker but hey they are cool. The mesh is stretchy and very breathable, so these are very comfortable for long wearing periods. They are vaguely Oxford-styled but visibly cloth at most any distance so you aren't going to get away wearing them at a formal occasion or anything.
