  • cute, but the first one wouldn't work
ITs really really difficult to insert batteries, kind of like the proverbial "getting into Ft. Knox"...we are the grandparents of a kiddo who loves this...my husband had trouble with the battery compartment...its close to impossible and he can fix anything...my daughter also had trouble, and she is used to messing with kid's toys. I understand we don't want the kids to access/eat the batteries, but this is crazy hard for even adults. The quality of the flashlight is good and the grandson LOVES it, but wow - look out when the batteries die! I did return the first one, and the second one does work fine. • Broken but fixable on arrival
The flashlight is cheap and the construction is acceptable for the price. I ordered two and one was broken on arrival. The battery compartments are poorly sized and prevent the battery from making contact. I solved this by forcing it. In addition the contact for the light was broken out of it's plastic casing and had to be bent with plyers back into place before the light would function. The other one I ordered was fine although the contacts are finicky and it has to be twisted just right in order to work. I would not purchase these again but they're good enough for the price. Pretty cute though. ... show more

  • Lovevery dupe
We got this along with a few other things instead of our lovevery box and this holds up well even though she throws it a lot

  • Cute
It’s cute, and my 3yo loves this - but it is not bright at all. Like it’s probably the dimmest flashlight I’ve ever seen haha. So if you’re wanting it for any outdoor use I’d look elsewhere. But just something cute for a kiddo to play with at home then yeah it’s cute ☺️

  • Look, It's A Torch!
For all the parents and grandparents whose little ones are obsessed with Pepa Pig, you know that it's common for kids to call flashlights the English version, a torch with little British accents. I have a 2 and 2 1/2-year-old grandkiddles who beg to play with Papa's torch whenever they come over. His high-powered flashlight is their favorite amusement so my hubby insisted we find them their very own flashlights as one of their Christmas presents. It was a great idea and I instantly remembered the adorable flashlights they had for little ones when our kids were young. Melissa and Doug are a favorite brand of mine for kid's toys. They are of great quality, reasonably priced, and always are the best version sold of almost every toy. They simplify toys and make them to last and I like that. I bought the pink bug for our granddaughter and the yellow bug for our grandson. The squeals they let out when they opened them! They loved them and play with them all the time. It was especially good for my granddaughter when they took her from her crib and put her in her toddler bed. The flashlight helped make the transition easier and less scary for her and she could turn on her light whenever she needed a little reassurance. What grownups like about these flashlights is the button placement that makes it easy for them to turn on and off. When they release the button the light goes off so the battery isn't wasted but it's easy for them to press and hold. My granddaughter kissed her ladybug and said, "It's so cute!" Simple and well-made toys are the best toys. ... show more

  • Low light
The flash light is underwhelming. The light is so dim. Not a flash light at all.
