The media could not be loaded. Doesn’t come with batteries, but works as expected. If yours doesn’t work, try moving to a different room with a different lighting! The sensors work through light.

Works every now and then but not like other puzzles similar. Already returned once so I’m stuck with it. Shocked since this is a M&D toy.

    • 2 Puzzles - Both Defective - Amazon Needs to Remove This Product
This item was sent as part of a surprise gift to my little niece. The first one arrived defective despite multiple battery changes. The recipient's mother had to go through the trouble of printing a label and returning. Great gift huh? But it happens. Replacement item arrived a few days after replacement was requested and it too is defective. What should have been part of a lovely gift has become a real pain and embarrassment. The worst part is this was purchased as part of a sale. Buy one get one 50% off. Amazon won't allow me to replace it with a different Melissa and Doug puzzle. Just the same one. Or I can have the recipient's mother package this up and send it back again for a refund to my card. However, Amazon is splitting the discount between all the products I purchased so actually I am losing out on part of the discount (vs. replacing it with a different toy). And my niece is going to be out part of her gift. Either Amazon is recycling bad returns since several customers have had this same issue with 2 and 3 replacements, or this item is simply too fragile to ship. Either way, it should not be available for sale here. You have a pretty good chance of getting a bad one... Twice even. You have been warned. Beautifully made puzzle! Sturdy and thick wood. Love the fact that when you pick up each piece, the appropriate nursery rhyme plays from start to finish. Nice touch. Does NOT come with batteries. Two AAA required. Easy enough to install. There is also an "off" switch on the back. Nicely done.
