I originally was going to give this one star because I could not find the lights, I searched and searched I checked the product info for where they were, I saw reviews saying it didn’t come with lights and I was so disappointed! I even bought fairy lights to add to the dress myself. WRONG! I ended up putting the dress on a hanger and lifting up the layers individually and behold a little pink pocket with not only lights attached to the dress but extra lights as well! We didn’t use the hair it came with for Halloween but she tried it on the next day and even that lights up! You can have the lights flicker fast, slow, or be steady. The costume is great! My 4 yr old granddaughter loves to play dress up in all her princess dresses. She chose this one since she loved the idea that the braid lit up , also the beautiful dress. Box was delivered quickly but upon trying everything the braid did not light up. Thinking it was batteries but upon checking wires inside were not connected. Only way to get a new braid headpiece was to send everything back. Broke my heart , granddaughter thought I was taking it back and why. Had to explain I was gonna get her one that worked but had to for some reason send everything. We quickly received the whole new set. Braid lit up but upon inspecting dress it had a large tear along seam. Like son mentioned quality control inspecting did not do well before boxing. I am not gonna put my granddaughter thru me taking again the dress and everything back to return and try another one. Not only that we have to drive 2 towns over to send return back! If everything this 2nd time around was ok I would give 5 stars but since 2 problems I can only give 1. ... show more

The dress is a great idea. So cute and pretty. BUT. The lights stopped working before Halloween, was torn when she had costume day at school in multiple spots, the Mendelian in the front came Off as well. We had to use last years costume for Halloween as this dress was in shambles and only work twice before Halloween and each time something else broke on it. Love the idea. Not the execution. Photo of my princes in the dress after the lights quit working for a trunk or treat. Was torn on the seam later in the day and when worn to school the rest of the dress broke. ... show more

Cheap, so wasn't surprised, but the lighting underneath is held on with a pink fabric that is poorly stitched up under the tool & came apart into a stringy fabric mess as my daughter was trick or treating.
