Features

  • OUR MOST CRISP SOUNDING SHAKER: the Meinl StudioMix Shaker has a brilliant, crisp tone that spreads out with plenty of volume; its high frequency can carry across large rooms, over drums and guitars, and be easily picked up by studio mics
  • WHY IT MATTERS: it's a sure bet you'll be heard playing live in acoustic or electric bands; plus, you can find a pinpoint spot in recording mixes to develop your track
  • DRIVING THE SOUND: made with a 100% synthetic shell and special filling that projects well; it's also textured to produce a musical tone and give you a better grip
  • YES, BUT: some might squawk if not metal or wood, but the clear tone, light feel, and ruggedness of synthetic tipped the scale for our designers; this is an incredibly rich sounding shaker that stands up to the elements
  • OF NOTE: there is no heavy, lagging feel on your hand while playing the StudioMix shaker; the synthetic body cuts down weight so you can easily keep steady rhythms with consistent volume
  • BY THE NUMBERS: this large version measures 9 1/4" L x 2 1/2" W; the pitch is slightly lower than the medium size
  • THE BOTTOM LINE: the Meinl StudioMix Shaker will do the trick if you want a crisp and present shaker sound for your next recording or live gig
  • THE BIG PICTURE: Meinl is a family-owned musical instrument manufacturer and brand established 1951 in Germany; our expert German designers have deep relationships with our builders to ensure you're delivered the absolute finest quality

  • Love this shaker!
Size: Large
It has a fun, crisp sound, you can shake it a lot of different ways which makes it a creative instrument. It can sound like a rain, can be good for all kinds of genres.

  • The Flying Shaker
Size: Large
Well, love this shaker, used it about four times a month since December. Last night during our gig, “mid shake” one of the ends popped off, flew in the audience and the beads inside showered the crowd. So….great sound and you get to surprise your audience with feeling like they are being hit by slow moving B.B.s!!!!!! I will definitely buy again. 😂🤣😂🤣 ... show more

  • great sound
Size: Medium
This is a great little inexpensive percussion instrument to add to my collection. It has a clear, crisp sound which was exactly what I was looking for to play along with my favorite Brazilian music.

  • The sound is not that good and it comes apart easily.

  • Decent, but Not what I had hoped
Size: Large
This seems fairly sturdy, though i imagine if i dropped it or banged it against something, the plastic shell would crack pretty easily. I don't like that it's just one formed piece of plastic for the shell.. i much prefer metal tube with plastic ends. The sound on this is very dark, plastic-y.. not high and crisp. It kind of sounds like shaking a box of cereal or something. Not that quintessential shaker tone I was hoping for. It's also very large and lound.. which would probably be great in a batucada, or salsa band.. but definitely not for coffee-house type gigs. Wishing I had a longer return window.. but.. not the worst purchase.. decent. ... show more
