There are a few companies that make cheap skateboards that are purchased for kids but Meepo took a risk and made a very high quality kids specific electric skateboard. My grandson was able to ride on his own in very little time and accelerate and stop safely. I would recommend this board for a child's first board over anything out there right now. ... show more

DO NOT buys meepo boards they will die on you before you hit even a few hundred miles. They are crazy cheep and will break if the pass writhing 10feet of water. Save yourself the pain.

Heavy for toting around. Good construction, maybe even good for the long runs. Big wheels gets over gravel. So close to what was looking for but weight was key discouragement for daily easy access.

Definitely doesn't have alot of power. Only one wheel spins. Maybe I should have read the info better. It's definitely for kids. Returned.

Broke right after a month was up. And I only ride it less than a 1/4 mile a day. And on fairly even pavement.

My son has a nice electric skateboard he's had for years but his girlfriend would always have to ride a bike when they went out and about exploring, so I ordered this MEEPO Ultra-Lightweight board so she'd be able to ride along with him. I'm just a mom who loves seeing her kids have fun, so my impressions of the board when it arrived were it's solid, well made and beautifully packaged. It came with adjustment tools and even a set of knee pads, which I couldn't get girlfriend to wear, but at least the company included them and they're great for someone just learning to ride one of these type of boards. The company even included a custom sized MEEPO gift bag in case you're giving this as a present. I was impressed because everything looked very professional and gave an impression of value and quality. Now feedback from the kids. They said this is is a great beginners board. Being lower to the ground, flexible and not quite as powerful, its stable and very easy to ride. Girlfriend has experience riding skateboards so she was a natural on it, but both kids said it would be perfect for someone just learning to ride an electric board. Girlfriend was able to keep up with my son and they cruised all over town, but they had a little trouble on the way home. Apparently the motor only spins one wheel (my sons board spins 2 wheels) so it doesn't have as much power and my son had to help pull girlfriend up the hill to get back to the house because the MEEPO was struggling to climb, so they said the board is better riding in level areas where there aren't a lot of inclines. My son commented on how lightweight the MEEPO board is compared to his and mentioned it might be a good board to take with him to college to get around campus because it would be easier to carry around when he's not riding it than his heavier board. Overall, it's a well made, quality board well suited to a beginner or someone who wants a stable ride that doesn't need a lot of power to climb hills. Its a good value for the money and we have no problem recommending it for someone looking to get into the world of electric skateboards. ... show more
