I love the idea of being self-sufficient regarding supply of oxygen canulas. I also love canulas with longer nasal inserts. This deal was a no-brainer, but the box came in and each canula, individually packed in plastic, smelled very strongly of plastic/chemicals. I aired it out for several days before using it. nut it still smelled so strong that I was getting headaches after wearing it for several hours. I called Medline, and they said just continue to air it out. I told them that they need to find a tester with a highly sensitive nose/headaches to pass muster on this product. We use these everyday on EMRs in Comanche County Oklahoma. I keep seeing reviews about chemical smell. We have not had one complaint from any patients. The only smell is the plastic tubing smell that is normal with any oxygen tubing. Medline is a top notch manufacturer and if they were dangerous in anyway the wouldn’t be able to sell them. These are great for short term use and in any emergency situation. I approve of them 100%. We are a fire department with medical responders and will continue to use this product. ... show more

    • Medline Nasal Oxygen Cannula have been perfect for my husband
We were very happy with this purchase from Medline. My husband has an oxygen concentrator for the first time. He has been using a rolling floor machine with a 7ft cannula. Was given only 1, 4 ft. cannula, and that seemed to be the perfect size for walking around with the small machine. We went out to the desert over the weekend, and he wore one of these 4 ft cannulas. It was perfect, especially with the slightly longer nose fitting, which kept in place. He had no trouble with the tubing at all. There was really not much of any bothersome smell either , like some people had mentioned in their reviews. Ok I do like these soft nasal cannulas. I had to purchase them for the first time in over twenty years of using oxygen. My company has not come for months now. So I guess I'm on my own. There is such a high demand for this type of medical equipment my local company must be servicing hospitals and for getting their local clients all together. Sadd really but these work great. I do have to rinse them out because there is a smell to the tubing,. But I just use a non toxic safe product to clean them and hang to dry. So far so good. The ones I got have a shorter tubing length than the ones I normally get. But I wasn't sure and I have it on an extended tubing any ways so their great. struggling to breathe is hard enough without the awful smell this emits. even laying it out doesn't help - it is soaked with something to make it softer the smell never really went away and gave me a headache

I did a lot of searching for 4 ft cannula. Oxygen units tend to come with 7ft tubing, which in my experience is a tripping hazard. I found pricing ranging from expensive to reasonable. Amazon was the only reasonable option. An oxygen user can go through a lot of cannula. They are impossible to clean. I am very happy with the product, the price and the timely shipping. ... show more

I have been using a cannula for 5 years. I have tried 4 different styles offered by my O2 therapy company. A P R I A. Rather than call them for free cannulas that come with the service I tried to find them on Amazon. I wanted them shorter, found it. I wanted them soft. Found them. I wished they would not twist so easily. Found them. I did not expect to be able to sleep on my side with the cannula and my glasses without any pain on my ears. FOUND them! They stay on without having to using the tightening device. Gosh. I cant be happier. I have worn the first one of 50 for about 2 weeks. The test is over. These are the best.
