I ordered this coat for a Halloween costume (I’m getting on it early this year), and it’s surprisingly great quality! It definitely smelled weird at first, but nothing some Fabreeze doesn’t fix. Whatever fabric it’s made of is very sturdy and has the quality of velvet. It’s also fully lined and silky on the inside, which is awesome! The only thing I’m worried about is the buttons—I might reinforce those as they feel a bit loose. I ordered a small, but I am a girl, and even though I’m tall (so it at least doesn’t drown me), I’m pretty petite. I wish an extra small existed, because it would have fit better. That said, it’s small enough that all I need to do is cuff the sleeves and take in the side seams, and it will look pretty good! As a note: I ordered the dark blue coat, and it’s quite a bit darker than the picture. It doesn’t really bother me, but it is a little difficult to distinguish from black. ... show more

I got my teenaged 6' 150 pound son this jacket for a Halloween costume in a size medium. It is pretty roomy on him and I think he would be better with a small. He is slim with broad shoulders and the sleeves are a bit too long, the breadth across the chest and torso is several inches too wide. I would say it fits like a large. For the price and for a costume, it is decent quality. I will be reinforcing the buttons as they are 'barely' attached. Good that they also included extra buttons. I think for a few wears it will be just fine and if you're building a costume (he is Jareth) this is soo much better than buying the cheapo premade Jareth costume ... show more

Purchased this for my husband for a Halloween party. Was expecting it to look a little cheap but it's super soft and looks great. Comes with extra buttons in case anything happens. The coat itself is nice. I believe they could have secured the buttons better as they give you 2 extra ones. I feel that they know that these are not fastened that well for a reason. The chest (bust) and shoulder sizes are too small and I feel that if I were to bend forward that the material would tear open. For that reason I returned it. I would say it looks nice and the arm lengths were a bit long but I would have used it if the chest and shoulders weren’t such European mens sizes. ... show more
