The monster truck of longboards.

[May 22nd, 2018] Absolutely incredible, at first the contact patch is super tiny. Only the middle strip of the wheel touches the ground. But, after a week or two, it breaks in. These wheels are 78a, so they're soft (the only softer wheel I've ridden being Sector Nine Butterballs 75a). At 100mm, these are some of the biggest wheels on the market. As such, pavement is a breeze. [Edit: These wheels go over everything; I can ride over train tracks at intersections.] Where these wheels shine is handling dirt, grass, and gravel that would stop smaller wheels in their tracks. It won't replace a mountain board—but—if you want to add some off-road capabilities to your everyday longboard, these are phenomenal. They will fit most drop through style decks, but if you have a pintail or anything without cutouts, you'll need riser pads to prevent wheel bite. I personally went with a set of rubber risers, and angled risers and it works great. [May 19th, 2020] I was talking to a friend about these wheels and figured I'd update my review. Funny enough tomorrow will be their second birthday. Not long after that review I fractured my left arm with the Pintail setup; apparently it's a bad idea to bomb the steepest hill of your life with the longboard equivalent of a clown wearing stilts. Learn from my mistakes, try to keep your set up low to the ground if you're a budding speed demon. Anyways, what can I say about these wheels? They've outlasted any romantic relationship I've had, and I've put them through hell. The wheels I mean. I learned to drift with them, I used them nearly every day for two springs, summers, and falls. I included a fourth picture of them after two years of heavy wear. I don't know how the other top review wore through their pair in three months, because these mine are going strong two years later. The biggest battle scar they have is a piece of glass I rolled over months ago, but it hasn't affected performance at all. Paired a 33' Pantheon drop-down style deck, they're an integral part of my favorite setup. The one con? Weight. If MBS wheels had an Achilles heel, it's how heavy they are. They comprise most of the weight in my set up. If I had to guess, I'd say the whole thing is about ten pounds, the wheels being maybe 6-7 of that. These wheels will make you stronger; I believe in you.

Big wheels for the win

Pretty durable for offroad use on a skateboard. We had to use high risers to accomadate the difference but pretty bad ass. They are pretty durable they are smooth and the size is a little over the top perfect for the outdoors offroad trails.

Late review. I've had these wheels for about... 2 years now. It's still great, it's showing some wear. But the durability is insane. As skating is my only form of transportation. These wheels are perfect, and they are pretty big in size. It's pretty smooth. It's not the fastest, it has a lot of traction with whatever you ride on. But it definitely gets over most bumps, pebbles, and cracks that normal wheels can't.

Perfect Wheels

These wheels are super fast. Compared to normal park skate wheels, These roll much and smoother on bad surfaces. I attached them to my skateboard using 1 inch risers on each truck to avoid wheel bite. For that i used 2 inch screws. Without these wheels i would not be skating at all because the roads are horrible where i live.. These can go over small rocks and provide a smoother ride. However my skateboard is now really heavy but i dont mind . LoL

Get these if you want to live!

Around my way, the roads are sad- peppered with big cracks, pebbles, and twigs, it's no fun on traditional longboard wheels. But THESE wheels have transformed the skate-game in my hood; I'm never going back. These work best with drop-through style longboards; to avoid wheel-bite, they would require different trucks on my daughter's cambered-pintail longboard. Get some Stripes bearings to finish the install and you'll be carving up the urban landscape on a buttery smooth rig that eats rocks, uneven sidewalks, sand patches, and branches like it's trying to get extra fiber in its diet! Only warning: on actually smooth sidewalks and pavement, the texture of the wheels cause a buzzing hum. My boy Arthur says it makes the board sound like it's angry!

Worth it!

These wheels don't come with bearings FYI. I love these wheels because it resists my rough-crapy roads by my house. I bought a 14 mm spacer for my longboard to make the wheels have a 1.5 inch clearance. My board is 5.5 inches off the ground. I bought bearings for my wheels. I rode my longboard to work, and it's perfect for riding on rough roads. It saved me money on gasoline because of these wheels. All I needed is my strength and energy. Thanks for the wheels! It's worth it for the price. I don't have to worry about the rough roads anymore. Nice ride!
