I am really hooked on this lipstick! It's very long wearing and it's super gentle on my lips. I've tried long wear lipstick in the past and found that it dried my lips out too much and irritated them, like it sucked the moisture out of my lips. This doesn't do that at all! They feel very comfortable underneath, no itching, and don't feel dry when I take it off at the end of the day. It has a really pretty matte sheen, and I like the scent, kind of vanilla. Let me address some common complaints among other reviewers and why I think they're wrong. First off, it is really easy to take off if you know what you're doing. Oil takes this stuff off quite easily, so do some makeup wipes. Most lip balms will take it off as well. For example, I use laneige lip balm at night and it takes it off just fine. Put some on, rub your lips together, and then wipe off with a tissue. Neutrogena makeup wipes also take it off. Secondly, I do agree that this product is very sticky. I have found that I can put my Mac lipglass on over top and now it's not sticky anymore! Also the gloss gives it a nice sheen or glitter depending on what shade of gloss. And most importantly, Mac lipglass does not take it off, yay! Third, because oil takes it off, depending on what you had to eat, it will or won't survive your meal. So some people say they had really good luck with it lasting all day, and other people complaining that it's worn off after a few hours. I think it really depends on what you had to eat that day. If I have something light and non-greasy for lunch like sushi then my lipstick lasts the entire work day without needing a touch-up. If I have a lunch that's heavy on oil, like salad dressing or a lot of butter, then I have to reapply after I finish eating. But one touch up in the middle of the day to freshen up the center of your lips is no big deal! That still wayyyyy beats any kind of conventional lipstick. Fourth, your lips need to be totally clean and oil free before you apply. And this stuff takes about a minute to set. So if you're putting it on, say, on top of lip balm, it isn't going to be long wear lipstick. Likewise, let it set well before you go off for the day. If I get lipstick on my teeth, it's usually during this period where it hasn't set yet. If that happens, I just wait until it is set, and then wipe it off my teeth with a Kleenex. Not a big deal at all! Now on to the colors... I am extremely fair skinned (usually the lightest color in any foundation brand), blue eyes, cool undertone, and brown/ reddish hair. On me, I really like the way dreamer and lover look. Very flattering and works well if you have cool undertones in your skin. I like poet, but it's almost a little too orange/ coral for my skin tone. I agree with other reviewers that seductress doesn't look at all like the photos online. That shade is way more brown in person. Like a '90s brown... I'll probably wear it some, but definitely not the most flattering for cool toned skin. I definitely plan on buying another color or two. At this price point, it's pretty easy to experiment. The only thing that will take this off your lips is something with oil. Otherwise it will stay on forever, even on the waterline. I put it on a few hours before bed, woke up in the morning and it still looked fresh. I put it on in the morning before breakfast and it stayed on perfectly until I took it off before bed. It is very slightly tacky once dried but barely noticeable. There’s no flavor and the smell is a very light slightly sweet scent. So not bad. It is matte. If you want a gloss or shine then don’t get this. If you’re ok with matte all day then this is fine for you. You can’t put any gloss or chapstick over it that has oil or wax or it breaks it down. So moisturize before you apply it then leave it all day. Now if you eat something greasy you may have to touch it up or reapply but otherwise it lasts all day ... show more

I hadn’t tried this before but decided to give it a shot as I had ran out of my usuals go to stay put lipstick. I have crowns on my front teeth so lipstick that stays put is mandatory. I got the shad “Ringleader”. It’s a nice pink mauve shade. It doesn’t dry out my lips and the applicator is very functional. I was shocked that it did indeed last for 16 hours! Very easy to apply. Itnhas a slight cherry flavor to it. As it is drying, it has a bit of a sticky feel to it. The red color was vibrant and easily lasts for an entire day. It was a good value that I would definitely buy again.

I bought this brand in several colours. They seem to be a little off from the colours portrayed but not significantly. They do however stand up to a whole day of wear. So much so it’s a bit difficult to removed when ready but I shouldn’t complain because the product does boast long wear. That being said my lips aren’t dry after wearing this for a day. If you want a tint that stays all day, YOU NEED THIS! I wear it every day and I work 12 hours shift and I talk a lot to ppl, at the end of the day that lipstick it’s still there on my lips!! I eat , drink and smoke and it doesn’t really move! Only bad part about it is that it dries the lips a lot, but every night a do a lip scrub and mask and they are like new! I do have 3/4 colours of it and I love all of them! ... show more

This lip product stays has mega staying power. The only reason I dropped a star is due how difficult the product is to remove from lips at the end of day. I have to scrub my lips HARD, using a baby wipe to remove the product entirely. At the same time, that is what this lip product is intended to do...last all day, so 10 out of 10 on that goal. I would purchase this again. I like the ruby red. It has some blue undertones which I don't typically choose, but it still works with my fair features.
