These cards were well made. Since they came in a box I assumed that's how they wanted us to sell them, but each of the cards came with a plastic hook for each deck. It was unexpected for such a cheap price for 12 decks of cards. The only negative I had was with the box the cards came in itself. It fell apart as I was picking it up and the cards all fell on the floor. It was very cheap holder for these cards, but since I wanted to put them up on hooks anyways it wasn't a big deal for me. I love these jumbo index for easy readability, these poker-sized cards are perfect for casual games or tournaments. Durable, and they offer smooth shuffling and handling. Whether you're hosting a poker night or for family game nights, these cards are a reliable choice. I use these to practice my basic strategy in blackjack, with 6 decks. This has been a great value, 12 packs for the price I almost paid for 3. Once the 6 red start to wear out, I have another 6 in blue. As for giftability, there is a large sticker over the flap, "SELLABLE UNIT DO NOT OPEN" in order to keep Amazon FC sorters from opening the package. You can take a blow dryer to it to remove stickers easily. However the box is a little flimsy. Mine came in a regular amazon box, in good condition. I bought these for a wedding for a “game table” and I wish I bought 3 more packs! They were a hit and everyone loved them. They were good quality, shuffled easy, easy to read print, and were like any other cards. The price was also very good!

We host large card parties and these Maverick playing cards were exactly what I needed. As other reviews commented, the box containing the 12 decks was flimsy. The box on my order was ripped open and all 12 decks were loose in the shipping bag. The cards themselves were fine.

We play cards once or twice a week with 4 decks. They are sturdy enough to last a year or so, and easy for seniors to see. They slide through a 4 deck shuffler easily.
