  • Best compression
I wear a compression shirt everyday and these are by far the best in longevity and being able to keep things tight throughout the day.

  • Finally a recovery compression shirt that isn't overpriced
I've tried a number of compression shirts (fwiw the ones from neleus with the double seam down the back are pretty good, very inexpensive, and provide a medium level of compression for comparison). The Mava shirt is clearly high quality and justifies the higher price. Very comparable in quality to a UA shirt that I have but much better compression. The armpits don't seem to bunch up uncomfortably like some others do and it is very long so that it doesn't ride up. Most importantly it provides a high level of compression. I have a 44 jacket size and worried about ordering the XL but it fits very snugly as it should. A large would have been impossible to get on and off. I have bad (combo of early arthritis and rotator cuff) shoulders but still lift and wearing this shirt after a workout and a shower helps tremendously with soreness. Two minor complaints is that the neck is also snug (17" dress shirt neck size) which is probably a matter of preference. Also the care instructions say to hand wash and air dry. I accidentally left it in the hamper and it got machine washed and dried and doesn't seem worse for wear but I'll be more cautious in the future. I've been searching for a true recovery compression shirt that didn't cost $100 and found it here. Great product. UPDATE. Bought a second one because the first has been so good. ... show more

  • Arms fit good
The shirt fits nice on my arms, a little too tight for my liking on the stomach area, but great material and a pretty decent fit overall. Definitely worth the money.

  • great gym wear.
This is really high quality compression gym wear, very stylish and well designed. I love it. comfortable. But the sizing is, like with most compression, a bit difficult. I moved up to an XXL, which is perfect for a tight compression around my chest and shoulders, but loose around my abs/lower torso. I don't mind not having compression down there, but the shirt often slides up and needs adjusting when I am getting into position on gym equipment. "Athletic fits" are never athletic enough.... Also, i wanted to have the long sleeve top in an XXL and the long tights in an L for winter, but my size has not been restocked here in a very long time. There's no way to write to MAVA on Amazon unless they write to you first, and they don't respond to my questions submitted on the product pages. I found their email address and wrote directly, but no one ever replied. I finally gave up and bought a used tight elsewhere online, and a long sleeve top via another online retailer in a foreign country. Seems like these are still being made, since they are available outside the US. They look and feel the same as other MAVA items I have purchased in the past. ... show more

  • The new benchmark in compression shirts
I’m a Letter Carrier and have been wearing compression shirts/shorts for 10 years now. They help keep me cool, and prevent underarm/thigh chaffing in the summer. UnderArmour and Nike ProCombat *used* to be the great brands, but changed their formulas from “compressing” to “hugging”, material getting thinner and thinner. Used Badger brand for a few years, until they too followed the thinner material and less compression. Tried a few off brands from Chinese manufacturers to no avail. Either too large a neck hole, or not long enough, or lack of compression. Recent Amazon searches lead me to a few brands, one of them being Mava. Tried on the shirt... Oh good gracious: an actual compression shirt! One with a perfect neck hole and is long enough! It wears marvelously. I will be ordering more today. I don’t have any complaints, but I have two recommendations to Mava going forward: 1)Color options, while keeping the shirt components the same (even when Nike ProCombat were good, different colors fit slightly different) 2)make a 3/4 sleeve. I hate cutting the long sleeves down but that’s what I have to do because the short sleeves don’t cover my biceps, and long sleeves in the summer doesn’t work ... show more

  • Here is the REAL DEAL ..!!!
These are awesome compression shirts/base layer. They are made extremely well and are thicker than most other brands. They are the replacement I have been looking for for the old Starter ones. They are tight and if you are overweight they will help your shape a little and stop the ripple effect fat giggling when you work out.! And they have plenty of length for taller people. Would definitely recommend and will be buying many more.! I might even buy some stock or these bad boys.! Hope this helps ... show more

  • Order up a size
Apparently a very good compression shirt. However, not true to normal size. Suggest ordering up a size (or two).
