12" x 15 FT matte laminate vinyl roll by Turner Moore Edition™ Vinyl laminate is a clear material that is designed to protect whatever it is layered over such as printable vinyl and patterned vinyl. Laminate acts as a shield against scratching, fading, water and adds an extra layer of protection to any vinyl project and signs. The laminates are primarily used to seal sign vinyl/stickers and cover printed media. Simply layer the laminate onto the vinyl or printable stickers and smooth out with a squeegee. Laminates can be used with all personal hobby and craft cutters but you will need to account for a thicker media when cutting (a test cut is recommended). Can be used indoors or outdoors to offer extra protection to your vinyl project. I had kinda low expectations because of some other stuff I ordered prior to this(not from this company), but I trusted the reviews and went ahead and bought it. I’m legit blown away by its quality, ease of cutting, I’ve never had bubbles yet like some other ones I’ve used. It’s got such a nice feel to it. I have sticker sheets that I didn’t use it on and then stickers with the laminate on them and the non laminate ones are already causing issues with the color flaking off? The sticker sheets I got are good quality but I think they absolutely need this laminate over it to protect it. Also the Cricut Explore 3 has no problems indicating where the sticker sensor marks are (which is a common issue with self adhesive laminate unfortunately) but I’m able to place this over those marks (with other sheets I’ve had to cut it so they didn’t go over those sensor marks and it was a lot of extra work). I’m testing how it does outside in the elements and so far its protected the sticker in at least one heavy downpour! And as you can see from my pictures you can see the sticker design just fine there’s no aggressive shine or anything which is ideal! I saw others complaining about the roll making it difficult but I love and prefer it. Because you can decide how much you want to use and it saves it from being wasted. Most vinyl is stored this way anyways. Personally, I’m going to go to the Dollar 🌳 and get a paper towel holder to put it on when I’m not using it ... show more

The only matte laminate I will use; it is so easy to smooth out over vinyl paper and any bubbles leftover are easily eliminated. I love it for matte tumblers. It can take epoxy resin, as well as any adhesive spray or glue-based sealer you can throw at it without ever damaging your decal. I have even sanded it over it and it still looks perfect. I like this laminate I like the feel and look I just got it yesterday so longevity is not an impact. The roll showed up just in a thin sleeve and upon my first order of stickers using this there are imperfections or small imperfections in the roll that effected 2 out of ten stickers on a sheet. I absolutely love this product! I have tried different types of clear vinyl for the top of my stickers I make and nothing beats this one. My favorite is the matte but that’s personal preference. Both glossy and matte through this company is well worth getting. After I print my designs on sticker paper I then carefully put a layer of this clear vinyl laminate over the whole page before I put it on my cutting mat for my Silhouette. Then I send it to my silhouette machine (similar to a cricut) to cut. My silhouette has a scan and cut feature which is how I cut out my stickers so nicely. Due to the quality thickness of my stickers I set it to deepest cut and have it cut twice. I have given stickers to friends and family and everyone has been in awe of the quality! And I know it has to do with the top clear layer I put over it. It makes all the difference. I include stickers in every order that I get through my Etsy shop (we sell cookie cutters). I am actually going to start selling stickers in our shop as well since I finally found a product that I am proud to use and sell to my customers. I will be trying more of the products from this shop. Also, I must add… I had a question for the shop owner and they got back to me so quick and answered my question! I didn't use this adhesive laminate for its traditional purpose, but it worked wonderful anyway! Given the fact that we wanted a larger travel trailer but didn't have the "heavyweight" towing capacity, we had to opt for a lightweight variant to get the 32'. Now, anyone who's ever bought one of these "lightweight" versions will tell you that "light" materials in a travel trailer equate to "cheap and fragile" interior furnishings (because - well - hardwood is quite heavy). So, basically, all of our doors, cabinets, etc. are made of ths plywood-like material that's covered in a "wood-look" contact-type paper that doesnt wrap fully around the surface (thus giving free edges to "catch")... so when met by the everyday hard use of camping, it easily scratches, peels, or just wears away. It took me forever to find something that would make the edges more durable AND have a matte finish, but - finally - I came across this product! It's thick, durable, and provides great protection against scratches! I did do a small "patch test" to see how obvious the final outcome may be... and I just want to say DON'T DO THAT if you're working with the kind of surface I'm working with, as the paper covering used on TT furnishings will peel right off upon removal! That having been said, there was a great deal of time and planning (position, alignment, etc.) that went into my application process (one mess up would be catastrophic for the original surface). But I'm not new to applying self adhesive materials (adhesive vinyls have been one of my random hobbies for years), so I went on with it anyway. Either way, it was totally worth it! You can hardly tell that it's there and it gives the added the layer of protection that I was really hoping for! I added some pictures of the pantry door that I did today, but I've had two of the hanging barn-style doors done for a couple weeks now and they're holding up perfect! On a separate note, I was a bit worried about the "bubbles" that I'd seen in some other reviews. Like I said before, I have some experience with adhesive materials and these are NOT true bubbles (they dont move or require puncture to flatten). I don't know if the glue just requires firm spreading or if my surface material was just a bit uneven, but the bubble-like look disappears easily when firmly spread with a narrow surface edge after you're done with the initial smoothing (the rounded corner of a smoothing tool or a thumbnail works just fine, just use short, firm, scraping motions; unlike other materials I've use in the past, this material easily handles this kind of abuse without any visible evidence whatsoever). I also added a before and after picture of the results from this added step. Either way, I am super happy with the outcome and will definitely apply this to future new TT's before even using them! ... show more

Love this laminate. I use it to cover my vinyl stickers for a matte finish and absolutely love it. It is easy to apply to my sheets, cuts well on my Silhouette Cameo 4, and has a slight surface texture that feels just about perfect to me. Great value. I am using this to add a protective layer to my book covers before creating a hardcover book case (bookbinding). I’ve had issues with previous covers printed on photo paper cracking and creasing when casing in, this completely solves the problem and prevents future wear when reading. I apply very slowly with a ruler to avoid bubbling. Laminate looks okay, but it’s obvious it’s not evenly applied and there are some distracting marks (probably small scale not an issue, but obvious on an 11x17 photo paper). Then, I use an iron to quickly smooth over the entire thing, blending the laminate seamlessly with the cover paper. Very very slight dulling affect but doesn’t degrade photo quality and change color saturation. Matte feels nice to the touch and unobtrusive to the design. Prefer this to thermal laminate because the adhesive anchors laminate to paper, I hate feeding a laminate through and having it shift around. I decided to try out this laminate for my sticker business. It is pretty easy to apply but it's extremely sticky and if you screw up there is no way to fix it. That's not a complaint but it does mean that you need to be really careful when applying. My Cricut machine cuts through the laminate and sticker paper pretty easily. I have it do 2 cuts to get all the way through. The stickers come out thick and very waterproof. I'm very happy with this product and have now bought 5 rolls of it. ... show more
