this is the second one I have bought ,this is for a friend. For the last 40 years we have been brainwashed to buy throw away razors .The price has gotten so high I wanted to find the alternative .The razor is ten bucks ,for 6.99 you can buy 100 blades done!! One hundred blades last me a year . The shave is closer than 4 blade throw away razors . Buy this it comes with blades .TEN BUCKS !!! less than a double burger combo at Carls . and you will find that you will use a new blade more often because they are more affordable .

You have to learn to like this razor. If you get in a hurry or are careless, you will cut yourself! But if you treat this razor with respect, take your time, and change blades at least once every two weeks, this razor will serve you well! I bought this razor as an inexpensive trial to see if I would eventually want to spend more on a similar, more highly engineered model. While that is a definite possibility, the jury's still out!

These are very sharp & it’s been a while since I’ve used a safety razor, so I forgot to not press down & cut up my leg pretty bad. It’s great—affordable. Check out some blade bins like the one from Hanni for the old blades!

Holy moly this left quite a few minor cuts on me! Please be careful with this razor. It's lightweight which is nice. I haven't used the blades it came with. I used ones I already have, so maybe that's why I got nicked so much? Idk. But it definitely does the job. 100% worth it and it's selling for a good price!

If you shave with cartridge razors you need to switch to these , shave with a fresh razor 100% of the time , super easy to use and WAY less expensive , replacement blades cost about $10 for -100pc where as regular cartridge blades cost around $10 for maybe 4-5 , definitely worth these !

First off, if you are new to safety razors, do yourself a favor and throw away the garbage no-name blades that are included with many razors and get yourself some decent blades like Astra or Lord... they are cheap. There is a huge difference, trust me. I got the black version. Bought mainly for the handle, but figured I'd try it with the included head before using the handle with a Lord L6 head. This razor is fairly light for its size - I'm guessing it's made of cast aluminum or aluminum alloy. As another reviewer noted, the head design is based off of a Feather AS-D2 - a very mild, high-end razor - but it fails to mimic the Feather in function. If the Lord L6 (my gold standard of comparison) is a 5/10 aggressive, then this razor is a 7/10, sitting in the medium-aggressive range. The blade sits on two horizontal tabs on the cap which go through the baseplate. The blade does not automatically align (or get anywhere close, for that matter) and has a lot of wiggle room, so you will have to try to align the blade properly while tightening on the handle. This is made a bit difficult due to the lack of blade tab protrusion on the sides of the head, which could also be seen as a plus. However, you do still need to be careful when tightening on the handle, because a slip could still cause a cut due to the exposed blade corners. The head does not have sufficient clamping force to secure the blade to prevent excess flex. While the blade doesn't move around once tightened, it just seems to have too much flex and chatter. The blade exposure is significant and will certainly be felt on the skin. I did not have any cuts after shaving my face, but felt a bit raw even with my usual shaving cream and blade. Yep, I'm just going to put the L6 head on this rather nice, lightweight, and fairly grippy handle and call it good. The head just doesn't cut it for me.
