  • Good format for bringing skill levels in pool up to par !!
Been playing pool, in most of it's forms, since I was 12. Played it most of my adult life when ever I could, but then got away from it as adult life and situations took up most of my time. Now, at 67, I find the desire to play is still there, but the skills have become rusty. Always striving to be best I can be, I looked for something to sharpen the skills I had. I've read through mounds of different books, all having what they call the best approach to get that. Some are better than others. Imler seems to have a different approach, which seems to ring true. This is the first of three books in a series. and as I said, seems to be on to some thing. So bought it, and will put it to use. Time will tell. Will update this review in the future. ... show more

  • Good Drills
Great book. Very short I think only 58 pages. The drills in this book will make you a player. I liked it.

  • I like this book!
This is a straightforward set of instructions that can be followed by any reasonably skilled player. Although the writing style is unpolished, there are a few grammatical errors, and the author could benefit from an editorial proofreading of his manuscript, it is easy for a moderately knowledgeable player to discern the meaning of the text. Dedication to the process is paramount - and to the authors credit, this fact is stressed throughout the book. Buy this book only if you are committed to improving your 8-Ball game. ... show more

To do all what Imler wants you to do requires owning a pool table or working at a place with pool tables for your use. Are there things one can do at bars where playing times may be limited or costs become prohibitive?
