Three serving bowls when I need them — a fraction of the storage space when I don’t

I bought these collapsible 3-tier bowls in 2019 at the same time I purchased the matching collapsible 3-tier tray, and I almost always use the two together when entertaining. What has kept me using them all these years is not that they are heavy or substantial serving pieces — they are definitely lightweight plastic. The real advantage is the design. I get three good-sized serving bowls when I need them, and afterward the entire unit folds down so all of the pieces fit within the footprint of the largest bowl. Compared with storing a traditional tiered server, that is a huge space saver. What I like: • Three useful serving bowls without permanently giving up the cabinet space a traditional tiered server requires • Entire unit folds and rotates down so everything nests within the largest bowl • Bowls stay attached to the frame, so there are no separate pieces I have to assemble or keep track of • Easy to open and collapse once you understand how the mechanism works • Nothing needs to be forced into position • Great size for chips, popcorn, fruit, candy, individually packaged snacks and similar foods • Enough clearance between the tiers to comfortably reach the lower bowls • Lightweight and easy to carry from the kitchen to the table, patio or pool area • Works well for both indoor and outdoor entertaining • White plastic looks nice enough that I am comfortable mixing it with nicer serving pieces on a buffet or table • Stable for the types of foods I use in it • Hinges and moving parts are still working properly after several years • Mine has not cracked, warped or discolored • I especially like using it together with the matching collapsible 3-tier tray I purchased at the same time Things to be aware of: • This is lightweight plastic, not a heavy ceramic, glass or substantial acrylic serving piece • I would not use it for unusually heavy foods or expect it to behave like a heavy-duty serving stand • I put the heaviest food in the bottom bowl whenever possible; that gives the whole unit a more solid base and helps stabilize the two suspended tiers • The frame makes hand washing a little more involved than washing three separate bowls, but I have never found it difficult enough to outweigh the convenience • I hand wash mine rather than putting it in the dishwasher Overall: For me, the genius of this serving piece is the storage. Traditional three-tier servers can take up a surprising amount of cabinet space for something that may only come out a few times a year. This gives me the serving space when I need it and then collapses into the footprint of one large bowl when I am finished. I use mine a few times a year on average, sometimes more, for holidays, parties, small gatherings and occasionally just for us. Because it is lightweight, I especially like it for casual outdoor entertaining and around the pool where I do not necessarily want to carry heavier or breakable serving pieces. I bought the matching collapsible 3-tier tray at the same time, and I usually set them up together. Between the bowls and trays, I can put out a good variety of snacks and food without taking up nearly as much table or storage space as several traditional serving pieces. After owning this since 2019, the folding mechanism still works, the bowls remain in good condition, and I would replace it with the same one if mine broke. Even at the current higher price, I still think the clever, space-saving design makes it worth having.

Great for a party

These are amazing and truly fold and expand extremely easily! I was a little skeptical at just how easy they would collapse once they were open, but they are remarkably easy! You literally just give it a slight twist at the top and it collapses right down to make storage a breeze. We got these bowls and the plates and love them both. The only negative thing I would say at all is they are not extremely sturdy as they wiggle a little when bumped or moved, so you would not want anything really heavy on the middle or top plates / bowls. But for what appetizers we were putting out for Thanksgiving they worked great!

I intend to keep it because it will be easy to transport going to friends’ houses but I will have to fill the bowls when we get there.

OK… Used this yesterday for our official covid19 graduation party and I wanted to take to the airwaves about it ASAP- this is about the greatest thing ever made for the kitchen!! I’m telling you, it rocked the house and left the few guests we could have attend (social distancing people!) all kept asking- where they could get one too!?! First off, I have to say, I live in a Barbie dream size kitchen- And a 4000 square-foot house, someone.. (And I’m only guessing it’s a man architect who doesn’t cook and therefore, doesn’t know the meaning of useful storage!! Women tend to have a much greater attention to detail and one I’m not being sexist I’m just being honest -Again, this is just a guess!) needless to say in my tiny kitchen- im always left looking for space saving kitchen supplies. This collapsible three tier serving bowls is amazing and fit the needs of What I’m sure Is any size kitchen!! Total perk, I expected to be doing some DIY assembly to connect three levels and that was not the case at all. This comes ready to use right out of the gate… Or, box! Mind you, it’s even a pretty small box- Which I kept snd stored the item in after use. Upon opening, remove and twist the top bowl counterclockwise… Boom!! you have 3 levels of adequate size serving bowls that do not take up priceless real estate on the counter! Best part of all, when you’re done… Wash and rinse with soapy water, and make a clockwise turn. Just like witchcraft- these bowls simply nest inside each other and the hardware used to stack the levels… Ergonomically folds into the rim- again, boom!! All just as easy as that! When up right this is sturdy and I had no worry it would stay in place. I used this to place toppings in for a waffle bar and filled with a level of whipped cream, warm homemade syrup and lastly, a layer of fresh fruit for toppings- it all fit perfectly with pure ease.. When ordering this, I also saw they offered the same design but, in a 3 tier tray vs. bowl setup- instead.. that will be my next item on my wishlist to order! Anyone considering this item.. do so without hesitation… You will love it and thank me for telling you too!! Trust me, I know how frustrating it is when trying to find a solution to kitchen needs- and having them fall short of expectations.. and I love nothing more when someone gives a “Confident 100% Go for it” endorsement and that’s exactly what is is!! All this, at a price point Thats less then, $15- Im in love! I hope this info helps... feel free to let me know!
