  • A Sophisticated Way To Showcase Your Love Of Marvel Superheroes
The Marvel by Thomas Kinkade Studios 2025 Wall Calendar is a sophisticated way to showcase your love of Marvel superheroes with a wall calendar. The drawings are well done and have a matte-finish where the colors are vibrant but noticeably toned down when compared to their comic book and graphic novel counterparts. Each month highlights a specific superhero or team. The following are the featured character for each month: January: Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six February: Doctor Strange vs. The Dark Despot March: Battle For Wakanda April: The Avengers May: Iron Man June: Thor July: Captain America- Sentinel of Liberty August: X-Men September: Captain Marvel - Dawn of a New Day October: Spider-Man and Friends: The Ultimate Alliance November: Black Panther December: Deadpool - Snow Day I was surprised to see that both Spider-Man and Black Panther were each highlighted for two months. I wish that they would have highlighted different characters especially knowing how many characters exist in the Marvel universe. The pages are a good weight, easy to write on with a traditional pen, and don't bleed through unless you press noticeably hard or use a Sharpie. Each daily square is a good size where there is enough space to note birthdays, anniversaries, appointments, special events and occasions, and vacation dates. The major holidays are all stated as well as international days (Australia Day, May Day in Australia, Bank Holiday in the UK, Thanksgiving in Canada), first and last quarters, and the moon cycles (full moon, new moon, equinox). I was impressed that on the date of the Lunar New Year, the manufacturer thoughtfully noted the animal associated with 2025 - the Year of the Snake. Each month has a unique color bar at the bottom along with the name of the month and a visual monthly calendar for the month prior and the month following. So for January, there is a visual monthly calendar for December 2024 and February 2025. At the beginning of each month, there is also a good sized lined block where you can write short notes and reminders. The manufacturer also made a noticeable effort to make sure that the calendar is earth friendly and recyclable. It was the first time that I have seen a wall calendar that was not wrapped in a single use plastic wrap and actually is sealed with a sticker to seal a flap that can either be tucked behind when hung or cut off entirely. It was Printed in China. This calendar would make a fantastic gift for a loved one who loves the Marvel universe. ... show more

  • Traditional style artwok, with fun flair
I had seen other Disney artwork done by Thomas Kinkaid before. I like his paintings that have a ton of details, in particular those that incorporate franchises. I find it fun to see different characters in settings that seem ordinary or finding little easter eggs. Painted as if they were going about life in a bygone era. The artwork included in this calendar is no different. Some months have epic battles, while others are the Avengers in everyday life, being people. Different months drew my eye for different reasons. Colors, characters I like, details in the background. The calendar feels thought out and deliberate. Well put together. My son was particularly happy about it, being as he is a huge Marvel fan. I imagine, even after 2025 has passed, it will be a keepsake for him. Besides the artwork, the calendar is solid. The first page (January) and last page (condensed 2026 and monthly notes) are a thicker cardstock, almost light cardboard. The inner pagers are a glossy cardstock. The months are all there and correctly labeled. There are traditional holidays, as well as some religious holidays (Hebrew, Catholic), some international holidays - mainly Australia, UK, and Canada, as well as lunar cycles. ... show more

  • MARVEL-ous
Can't really go wrong with this one, especially for Marvel lovers! Each month has an awesome, one of a kind illustration that tells it's own story. There's a whole lot goin on in each image so pay close attention haha. Noted features are 100% accurate: moon phases, holidays, observances, etc. Small space for notes. Would definitely keep this intact as a keepsake beyond 2025. Great as a gift also. ... show more

  • Stunningly rendered to please any MARVEL fan
Calendar has moved him and his studio up several notches in my appreciation of his artistic creativity. The calendar covers are strong and durable, and it is shipped flat with a sturdy cardboard inserted to keep edges from damage or bending. Definitely gift-worthy for your favorite MARVEL enthusiast, but it’s so good that I kept it as my next year’s calendar. The back of the December page has a full 2024 and 2025 calendar, while the inside of the back cover has a full 2026 calendar and a 2026 Planning section to make quick notes about important 2026 dates, such as anniversaries and birthdays. The images are extremely well colored and imprinted to last, even be framed after it’s use as a calendar is done. It was hard to choose a favorite, but February’s feature of my favorite character, Dr. Strange vs. The Dark Despot, gets my vote. A lighthearted August scene of the X-Men group playing baseball made me smile. And July’s depiction of Captain America is emotionally classic. ... show more

  • Calendar is fine, art is not quite what I expected
The calendar itself is fine - nice size, good quality paper, plenty of space to write in events. Zero complaints there. The art wasn't quite what I was expecting. Other than the one of the X-Men playing baseball in front of the X-Mansion and maybe the one with Deadpool in NYC, none really felt like Kinkade art. They're still beautiful art pieces with a nice oil painting look to them - it's just hard to get the Kinkade feeling with modern buildings and action scenes. ... show more

  • Great calendar for a Marvel fan
My son is a big Marvel fan (as much as he can know from the cartoons and Lego versions of the characters) and he's at an age of wanting to hang posters in his room. I thought this would be a great Christmas present as his first calendar. I'm a Kinkade and Marvel fan, so I can also appreciate the artwork. Each month has a beautiful image featuring a Marvel character or characters. I could see him wanting to keep the images and hang them separately in his room. The calendar itself is a large size, so plenty of space to write important dates. It also comes with a piece of cardboard in between pages to help keep it from getting folded/wrinkled. Overall, a nice purchase! Not sure of the value for full price (I would want to catch it on sale), but I also haven't bought a wall calendar in a long time. ... show more
