Manga with older women are hard to find. And these two are outlier types who click together by happenstance by bonding over food. It’s refreshing to see real life situations where making friends is weird and awkward when you’re older. And they’re a perfect fit, considerate and genuine. So much of yuri manga revolves around high school girls in frankly creepy situations I don't really want to read about as an adult. And then the adult oriented ones are full of drama, and weird lesbian but not actually lesbian (and not framed in a positive way as them being bisexual, but instead as them only being temp lesbian until they find a "proper" husband) drama that I hate. But this beautiful manga dashes all of that nonsense, and gives me exactly what I want. Two weird adult ladies who find each other through food. No drama. I absolutely adore it.     • Amazingly wholesome story about two older women
A great story that, as a single grown woman who lives alone, fully feels the lonelyness of cooking big meals due to habit (or joy) but having no one to share with. This is a wholesome story that is showing older women having realistic lives. I'll admit I've never read a manga that focuses on food before so seeing so much emphasis on mouths but given the focus it's not that weird. Over all a great story and sweet concepts. ... show more

This is the least toxic and most cute manga relationship I've read in so long! The main characters are adorable! I love them so much and there's so much feminine positivity and they back each other up and support each other!

This sweet story is full of interesting food and an amazing character dynamic between these two women finding each other, and the liberating and joyful experience of cooking and eating food together! This first volume plants the seeds of their flourishing new relationship, but honestly, their friendship is so wholesome I will be fully supportive of the series whether it goes a romantic direction later or not.
