Bought this bat for my grandson who plays AAA Little League Baseball. I primarily bought this bat for the 5 star POP rating. My grandson is a good hitter, however most of his hits barely make it out of the infield. Now he is able to reach the outfield about 4 out of 10 times.

    • Broke during the third game
During the third game, the bat broke between the handle and the barrel. Luckily it’s under warranty, so I returned it. The company does not cover the cost of shipping and handling. I elected to not receive another bat and get my store credit instead.

    • Top performing USA Bat
Just got it out of the wrapper today for my son who is playing 8u Cal Ripken All Stars. Since we play in a USA Bat league we needed a solid USA bat. For those who don't know USA bats struggle considerably in regards to exit velocity and raw performance compared to their USSSA counterparts (USA bats are designed to perform closer to a wood like standard). With that in mind our goal was to get a great performing USA bat, and after lots of research and speaking with coaches more experienced than myself we narrowed it down to DeMarini and Marucci. Since my son swings a 27 inch bat as the best length for him, and since DeMarini doesn't have the Voodoo in a 27 inch, we went with the Marucci CAT Connect. After driving some balls straight out of the wrapper off the tee and soft toss my son commented how smooth the bat felt with nearly no vibration noted on contact. The barrel diameter does seem to taper a little more aggressively than some other bats, but he's enjoying it and making good contact. Will update the review as we spend more time on the bat. 5/20/21 UPDATE: After some additional practice time this bat absolutely rips for a USA bat. The amount of pop my son is getting out of this bat is way hotter than his previous USA bat (a Rawlings 5150 -11). I took a swing on it myself off the tee and it is incredibly smooth. I almost want to get a Marucci Connect bat for myself just to hit with! ... show more

My son likes it as much as his His Cat 9. We went out to hit it today and the bat has pop. My son says No ringing in his hands. Balanced and good bat speed since it is a drop 11.
