This desk is about looks - the table top is made of chip board covered with a wood look print. If you are using your drill to assemble, use a low torque setting like 3-4 or you will strip out the "wood" - do not use the setting you would use on solid wood. The top comes in two pieces, so there is a small seam down the middle lengthwise. Ours came out even, so no issues there for us. Controller and motor worked fine and the desk itself is sturdy enough. We bought so we could stand and work, and don't plan on moving it up and down much. It is a good looking desk for the price and doesn't take up too much room - the 48in size is enough for my monitor, keyboard and a few folders and papers. ... show more

TLDR: This is a budget motorized standing desk that will work well for basic office use. I got this as a "starter" standing desk. And for the price, there is not much that I can complain about given the cost. However, there are some things to note. The desk top comes in two parts which results in a seam in the middle of the table and not suitable for drawing/writing on the middle part of the desk. This can be solved by later buying a better one piece table top. I would recommend this route as the table top is also fairly thin and if you use monitor mounts, I do not recommend clamping it on to the supplied desktop. The legs of the table are solid metal and are fairly sturdy and does not wobble much at all. Even at the max height, wobble is surprisingly low. Now for the motors, the motors move the table slowly given the size of the table. Now this is a nitpick given the price, but something to be aware about. The desk does come with a headphone hook, however this hook is extremely bendy and I don't expect this hook to survive a rolling chair accidentally hitting the hook. All in all, for the price. I cant really complain. The frame of the desk alone I feel is worth it for the cost. And I would recommend using it for a custom desk project to resolve the issues with the desktop. I am very happy with this purchase. The desk was quite easy to assemble, looks great, and most importantly works as advertised. The desk moves up and down very smoothly. It is a great convenience to be able to save desired heights and reach them with the click of a button. It is also the perfect size for working from home. My one complaint about the desk is the surface itself. The surface comes in 2 separate pieces that need to be put together during the build. If this is not done perfectly, there will be a difference in height between the two halves of the surface. ... show more

Honest review is doesn't as sturdy when in standing position however it's not likely to topple over, just a little more shaky. Other than that, I wished the instruction match the screw numbers. That would make figuring the placement easier. It was a work out, it's recommended that two person put it together but it's not hard to do by yourself either. I screwed everything to the bottom of the desk, power supply,wifi receiver and cables. It has not problem with my desktop setup and glides noise free up and down. ... show more

The frame itself is very good and stable and works great. The top is junk, as should be expected for this price range. It is only .5” thick and comes in two pieces, unlike what is shown in the photos. I decided to spend $125 more for something better.

I have been wanting an electric desk for quite sometime and I should've gotten one a long time ago. This desk was very easy to assemble. I am not quite sure how long it took me to build it but that does not really matter. What matters is that the instructions are very easy to follow and the pre-drilled holes where everything goes was perfectly done. This company did an amazing job in making it easy for the customer. If you do not have an electric drill, it's ok, you do need a Phillips screwdriver to put everything together. I have two monitors, a keyboard, a mouse and a laptop on the desk.
