    • Dissapointed- but I guess it's my fault
I guess there was a miss-understanding. I ordered this backpack going off of the description. But unfortunately, it was somehow a different description that what was associated w/ this item. I got the backpack, but no shoulder straps to actually strap it onto one's back! Also, the cover wasn't included. This item is sitting in my garage in the back round, and not I'm sure what to do. The seller offered me to return it, which I may, or I can see if someone will sell the shoulder straps seperately and reasonably. ... show more

What can I say, this backpack is awesome! I purchased if from another vender in very good condition and it was better than expected. This thing is huge. It's about 30-40% larger than the medium ALICE pack I used to use for my backpacking trips. And it's a lot lighter despite it being larger. I can easily fit 5-7 days worth of gear in it including my tent and USMC modular sleep system with a compression sack, clothes, and boots. The hip belt is very comfortable with a lot of padding. Much more than the ALICE hip belts. The back of the pack is breathable and comfortable as a result of the adjustable internal frame spines. The one thing about this pack I was a bit concerned with when I first got it was the shoulder straps. Compared to the rest of the pack they look puny and flimsy and I was afraid they would dig into my shoulders and under my arms. However, I would say they are about the same width of the ALICE straps and upon wearing this a few times, I found that they were rather comfortable and hold the weight of the pack just fine after adjusting them a bit. It definitely fits different than the ALICE pack and takes some getting used to. But overall, this thing is outstanding. It has tons of PALS webbing and two good side vented side pockets perfect for storing Nalgine bottles or any other items like wets socks, etc. I don't believe this pack comes with the lid from this particular vendor so be sure to get one as well as the pull-tie opening at the top of this is pack is rather large and smaller items, if stored on top could fall out. Just look around on Amazon and "other" online store warehouses and you'll be able to find complete sets with main pack, lid, radio pouch, and assault pack. The latter of which I also highly recommend as it's a good size in and of itself. Perfect for a three day bugout bag. ... show more
