  • It is a fun toy
Edition: Mario Set
My grandson loved it.

  • Really fun RC car/game for kids/adults, if you don't mind the time it takes to setup/put away.
Edition: Mario Set
Works really well, it is super easy to sync and get going. The tracks that you setup each time by unfolding the checkpoint gates and thinking of good places to put them and keep them sturdy can take a bit depending on how creative you want to get, plus you have to put it all away after finishing (assuming you live with others that would knock it down). The car is easy to control with the switch, seeing through the camera makes it so you don't have to look at the RC car while driving. The range could be better but with my setup I am not too far. It feels pretty close to an authentic mario kart experience, you have grand prix's, time trials, kart customization, etc. The environments can change so your home will always have new looks from track to track, and in game obstacles change. The catch is the actual track layout will only change when you feel like changing it, so the track design is dependent on the user. The battery life for the mario kart RC car is pretty good too, I've forgotten to charge sometimes after a session and it still had half a charge a week later. ... show more

  • Excellent but room for improvement
Edition: Mario Set
This product is awesome, my kids love it. If there is anything I would improve it’s the following: 1: the range that the karts operates from the switch. Apparently it’s only 5 meters but I think working on extending it would be great. 2: it’s ability to rise over small bumps. I have a small transition piece from my living room to my dining room. The kart was not able to navigate over this and I’m hoping in the future that increasing wheel size or a higher profile would help in this issue. 3. The need for speed. So maybe the creators decided to really limit the speed to decrease the chances of crashing into object but I think this is something we can allow consumers to decide. My kids can handle a faster kart, younger kids may need their speed governed. 4. Two karts, one switch. If you, like me, own own switch for multiple kids to share, then you have to know that you can only purchase one kart per switch. I desperately wanted to buy a Mario and a Luigi, one per child, to go with this but unfortunately I will not be purchasing an extra switch just for this. If the ability to purchase multiple karts for one switch existed, that would be awesome. I know I’m being picky but because I love this product so much, I would love to see these improvements in order to maximize the experience. ... show more

  • Def mario kart fun, though limited to 15 feet.
Edition: Mario Set
I'm not inclined to write many reviews, but I felt I should for this game. I've been a huge mario kart fan my entire life. I picked this game up to play with family and setup in house. It's real easy to get setup and playing. The game itself you download off nintendo store for free. Syncing the kart is easy, just a simple button press on the kart itself while following on screen instructions. The kart moves faster than I thought, so a big room is best for doing this, or if you have linking hallways and connected rooms. *tip* it doesn't like driving up on rugs from a flat surface gets stuck; use a few plain pieces of notebook paper connecting flat surface to over rug and it'll drive up it just fine. When playing game, you're limited to the kart being within 15 feet of the console. You can be a room away or through a hallway, but if you start approaching the 15 foot mark, it literally hits a deadzone spot and gives you connection errors and half connects...so it's like dialup for the time you're out of the 15ft or close to it, then instantly when back reconnects strongly. I think this is a huge limitation. Would be nice to have a way to extend that distance with a switch extender or something could plug in another room or down the hall. Great game, the only thing that limits it is the 15 foot distance, which theres no way to extend or compensate. Most people don't have huge clear rooms, so using multiple connected rooms is helpful, but then the 15ft limitation gets in the way. ... show more

  • A fascinating and fun mario kart experience!
Edition: Mario Set
I've always wanted an RC car that does this. And I know there are many out there now but this one is definitely more fun. It's important to note this thing does not understand physical obstacles (and because of this, walls, table legs or pencils will not slow down computer opponents!) and does not understand elevation (up hill and down hill) the result is when physical world obstacles occur to you, it doesn't occur to the computer players so it's a disadvantage over all. I think we need more gates and and potential ground based markers that do things like boost the player's speed. Yes I know this exists in the game but it's not something we can change or configure. I'm sure there are lots of way to improve the experience. People have made incredible race ways using cardboard from old boxes. If certain recognizable paper images taped to the floor or to the cardboard raceways were recognized, a great deal more creativity can be unlocked for a lot more fun! Also, we need more players. They really should have made the drivers removable so that Peach and Toad and others could be placed behind the wheel. Maybe in the future? ... show more

  • No es tan pequeño como creía
Edition: Mario Set
... show more
