My wife absolutely loves coconut-scented products, so she was the primary tester for this travel trio. The brand has been around since the 1960s, starting out of a New York City apartment with a focus on simple, no-frills, salon-quality skin care. They are famous for using botanical ingredients and reliable formulas that just work, rather than relying on flashy packaging or trendy gimmicks, and this body care line stays true to that classic, clean approach. The three steps work really well together for a complete routine. The body wash cleanses nicely without stripping the skin, and the body butter is rich and highly moisturizing. The real winner of the set, however, is the body oil spray. Layering it on top of the body butter does an incredible job of sealing in hydration and leaving skin feeling exceptionally soft and smooth. Or at least that's what she says, and the empty bottles in the bathroom don't lie. Interestingly, while her skin type skews oily, this set didn't cause any issues at all. It provided the necessary moisture without feeling heavy or causing breakouts, which speaks to the quality of the formula. Because the bottles are compact and travel-friendly, it’s a perfect little kit to throw into a bag for a weekend trip. If you are a fan of the brand's straightforward approach and want an easy, multi-step routine that keeps skin nourished on the go, this one is a home run. We will be reordering the larger size.

I enjoyed trying the three products included in the Mario Badescu Coconut Body Travel Trio. Each product comes in a small, lightweight plastic bottle or jar that is perfectly sized for travel. There is a good amount of product in each container, so they should get you through a typical vacation. I have always loved coconut-scented products, so this set was perfect for me. Each product has a classic coconut scent that reminds me of summer and beaches. It's just the right amount of fragrance so that it's noticeable without being overwhelming. My favorite of the three product is the coconut body butter. It's a thick white cream that glides on smoothly, and instantly hydrates skin. I tested it out after a swim, when my skin tends to be dry, and it soothed my skin right away. It's slightly greasy when you first apply it, but once it soaks in after a minute or two, there isn't much of a residue left on the skin. The body oil spray is very light and also absorbs quickly. It mentions on the product that it gives a soft sheen. I didn't notice that much, but I only applied a small amount and rubbed it in. It does feel hydrating, and it's very easy to apply with the pump spray. The coconut body wash was probably my least favorite of the three. It has that lovely coconut scent. It didn't lather much, but I did find it effective in cleaning my skin. My skin felt a little dry after using it, but lucky for me, the set comes with two skin hydration options. All-in-all, I thought this was a nice set, and a great way to sample three products for a reasonable price.

I'm a big fan of coconut-scented body care products, so this travel trio was right up my alley. The scent is really nice -- warm, tropical, and comforting without being overly sweet or too-coconuty. It lingers lightly on the skin but never feels like too much. The body wash leaves my skin feeling clean without stripping away moisture, and the body butter adds a nice layer of hydration afterward. Together, they leave my skin feeling soft and comfortable, especially after a shower. My favorite product in the set is probably the body oil spray. It gives the skin a healthy-looking glow and a subtle shine that catches the light nicely. I'm not sure if that comes across in my review photos, but it definitely adds a pretty finish in person. One thing to note: a little goes a long way. If you use too much, your skin can get very slippery -- your fingers practically glide across your skin -- so I recommend starting with a light application and adding more if needed. I got this Mario Badescu Coconut Body Travel Trio because I wanted to try the body wash, body butter, and body oil together without committing to the full sizes right away. The coconut scent is pleasant and soft, more like a clean tropical scent than something overly sweet or fake. The sizes are definitely travel-friendly, so I think this set makes the most sense for a weekend trip, gym bag, guest bath, or as a small gift rather than as a long-term full body routine. I love this little set! I haven't had any bad experiences with Mario Badescu products so far. This set is perfect for gift giving, especially since there's three items already boxed. It's also perfect if you want to have a trial run with them before buying the full size products. This Mario Badescu Coconut Body Travel Trio includes a coconut body wash, body butter, and a lightweight body oil spray. The coconut scent isn't overpowering, it's pleasant. My sensitive skin had no reaction to any of the products. These products left my skin soft. I love the concept of having body oil in a spray bottle, it's much easier and convenient. Just make sure to spray all the areas first and then rub the oil in, otherwise you will get the little bottle oily. All in all, I think this trio set would make a great gift or for yourself as well.

I have to say, I'm biased. I love Mario Badescu products, in general. I usually use their products for the face, so when I saw this for the body, I had to try it. First thing - if you don't like the smell of coconut, this is not your product. But, if you're like me, and that scent brings you to an personal tropical happy place, this is perfect. It's not an overpowering scent, but it's definitely enough to allow you to daydream... The soap is luxurious. The lather is lovely, and I feel like it's moisturizing. The body butter is thick enough to feel like a luxury, and it soaks in, leaving you feeling soft, and like your skin has been nourished. The coconut scent lingers a bit, just to keep you in that relaxed state. And I'm going to need a bigger bottle of this body oil! It takes a couple of minutes to soak into my skin - but the effect of moisturizing and the scent last for a good amount of time. The sizes are great for travel - I figure I could get a good couple of weeks out of it, on a trip. I definitely recommend it.

Prior to ordering this, I wasn't really familiar with the Mario Badescu brand. The travel set is a decent size for travel and gave me an opportunity to try smaller bottles without a large bottle commitment. Good thing. I wasn't too keen on the body butter. Coconut Body Soap: Cleanses gently, mild lather but thick and creamy and with a heavy fragrant. The smell is pretty strong, smells like a bottle of hair spray an old lady would use. The smell is strong and lingers. It left my skin feeling moisturized though. Coconut Body Butter: Exceptionally rich, thick and creamy. It melted into the skin but left a thick greasy film. It had the worse smell!!! Like a plasticy coconut. I mistakenly put some some on before bed. I was so bothered by the scent, I ended up getting out of bed to wash it off. Ewwe Coconut Body Oil: Lightweight and gives a nice sheen without leaving a heavy residue. It absorbed right into my skin and felt nice. The coconut fragrant was mild, in comparison to the other two products. This actually had a doable scent that mellowed out after application. It smelled reminiscent of suntan lotion at first, but then the scent fadded to smell like hair product. The coconut scent- no where to be found. The oil dissolves and doesn't feel greasy. I do like this body oil and felt it absorbed nicely into my skin.

This Mario Badescu coconut travel trio is a really adorable set and perfect for summer vacation or gifting. The sizes are great for travel, and everything feels nicely packaged. I like the light coconut scent, which is fresh and relaxing, and each product leaves my skin soft and smooth. The body butter feels nice on my skin, and the oil spray adds a nice glow. Since they are smaller sizes, they will not last very long if used daily, but they are great for trying out the products or taking on a trip.
