Marc Jacobs Daisy Wild Eau So Extra is a playful, modern gourmand floral that leans into sweetness without losing that airy “Daisy” DNA that it is renowned for. Right from the very first spray, that banana and pear nectar combination comes through right away to give it a juicy, almost creamy opening that feels extremely bright, youthful and elegant all at the same time. What I noticed right away, is that this fragrance has that instant crowd pleasing effect. The scent is sweet, smooth, and very approachable, before the vanilla starts to come through the mid and soften everything into a warm, comforting heart. As the fragrance starts to settle in, the amber base comes out beautifully, adding quite a bit of depth and a gentle glow to the fragrances base. It never gets too heavy or syrupy; instead, it stays balanced and wearable all the way through, with that soft gourmand tone that feels feminine and cheerful. The blend of the fragrance is well composed for a designer release, it's easy to like, easy to wear, and versatile enough for daytime or casual evenings out. Projection also sits at a moderate level and the scent lingers nicely on my skin for several hours, creating a subtle, cozy trail in the air. The bottle design is one of the best standout features. The green glass paired with the colorful daisy cap gives it such a fun, collectible look that feels both whimsical and premium. It captures the personality of the scent perfectly and looks great on a stationary display. Overall, this is a well put together designer fragrance that delivers a long lasting sweet gourmand and floral profile that can easily last for 12+ hours with good projection without feeling overwhelming before it steadily moves closer to a skin scent. For the quality, presentation, and mass appealing scent profile, it comes across as a solid value and a great addition to the Daisy line, especially for anyone who enjoys natural betraying fruity sweetness blended with that warm vanilla, amber, and the pleasant enveloping hint of the banana blossom.

Scent: Eau de Parfum - 1.67 fl oz
I remember my first time spraying the (at the time) brand-new OG Marc Jacobs Daisy and being astounded and impressed by how innovative the scent was—it was floral without being too floral, a little woody, and had a hint of fruit. I was 16 then, and now, 20 years later at 36, being able to try the newest iteration of Daisy was an equally enlightening experience. This scent is stunning. I am a fragrance addict—almost a collector, to be frank—as I have over 400 scents. I am aware of most aspects of fragrance and can identify notes by nose. This is a VERY well-blended fragrance and evolves in the traditional top-middle-base note fashion that we all hope for, although don't always get. The true beauty of this is an aspect that untrained noses may not value as much as they should: the scent notes here are almost individually indiscernible, which makes this so very unique and a precious commodity. I don't get any straight banana or chocolate; this is a mostly floral fragrance, as most Daisy iterations are. However, it isn't your grandma's white floral or an obtuse rose. It's a VERY layered and nuanced bright, fruity floral with a constant deep sweetness that isn't cloying and is so very enjoyable. Sillage is extreme, longevity is moderate to intense, and the scent bubble is ever-present until the next shower. My only criticism is the bottle on this one—or rather, the cap. I love the design of the atomizer tubes being flower stems, particularly with there being multiple. However, the cap is a visual disappointment, especially considering how gorgeous some of the earlier ombre and dynamic flowers on previous Daisy caps were. These flowers are garish, one-note, and have no effects or patterns that would make them interesting. It's certainly not a major issue or an issue for everyone, but if dresser appeal is a major factor for you, just be sure you're prepared for the look of this one. Cap flowers aside, this is a gorgeously elevated, saccharine-sweet floral that ends up reading as a scent that is a gourmand base of OG Daisy in a field of flowers in an exotic locale.
