Although it would be nice if it had a diagram of which port does what, as some are actually created differently, but this one is just like all the others. Bottom is source, side is wategate. Installed this manual boost controller on my 1991 Volvo 940 SE. Installation was pretty easy. It's holding 10lbs of boost without any issues so far. I was initially skeptical as I've never seen this manufacturer before but I've been using it for a few months, no complaints. It's a basic manual boost controller, and it does the job it's supposed to do.

Easy to install since my Supra never came with a factory boost controller and would only hold 4psi on full throttle and was super laggy getting onto boost. Now, trial and error was the only way to dial in the mbc since there was no instructions nor specs on the spring weight. 9-10psi was my target threshold with 11-12psi being overhead for spikes since this is a ball and spring type controller. After fiddling for 30mins adjusting through quarter/half/three quarter throttle pulls, it kept over boosting past my targets to the point to where I said "F*ck it" and bottomed it out to the lowest setting where you cant twist it any further and it had the results i needed after even more testing. 9psi steady with 10-11 psi peak is the lowest you can do with with product unless you can get a known spec'd spring and replace the built in one. Because the built in one is just too heavy for older stock turbo cars that cant boost too high. Id recommend a lighter spring and ceramic ball bearing to get better results and adjustment. Nevertheless I was able to restore faster spool time and higher boost threshold than factory within relatively safe levels. Im pretty happy of my purchase but wished it had more information on the product itself and a larger diameter hose because it was nearly impossible to shove 5.5mm barb fitting into a 2.5mm opening, he was just too big for her, as they say lol Anyways it was so close onto being a pretty good bang for your buck manual boost controller.

I run about 28-25psi with my wastegate set to 20psi. I can't easily get to my wastegate to increase it, and I want the wastegate to stay closed as long as possible. I had to switch out the strongest spring because the spring installed originally was too soft. I only had to turn it about 3/4 a turn from the lowest settings for my truck, and it works very well. I also put some electrical tape around the knob to lock it into place.

Just installed on volvo b230ft with stock turbo, mitsu 13c One full rotation (360*) gained 2psi, approx halfway tightened with original spring and holding 12psi with no spiking so far. One review mentioned lack of a bleed hole, and the unit i ordered does have one on the outlet nip. Seems the manufacturer listened to the reviews, big points to them. Initial impression, this is a great unit for the price. Good luck making your own for $20, let alone one that is this consistent. Ask me how i know. Check in in a few months for durability thoughts.
